FINAL: Brewers 10, Rays 1 A complete emasculation. Brewers batters swatted seven consecutive hits and scored eight runs with two outs in the fifth. Brewers pitchers shut down Tampa Bay hitters all night. Milwaukee is up 3-0 and can clinch its first World Series title on Tuesday.

It’s just so appalling and enraging how casual and commonplace this has become. I’m out of words.

Here's a direct link to House Dem's Judiciary Cmte report. Per a new report from House Democrats, Trump's DOJ is withholding evidence of his ties to Epstein and slow-walking the complete release of the Epstein files. It's time to end the cover-up and expose the truth. Remember this when you cast your ballot. www.ms.now/news/house-j...

I say this a lot but it bears repeating: for someone who claims to be a paragon of masculinity, he sure does whine a lot. Besides completely moral bankruptcy, it’s his defining characteristic.

Trump: "Let's all get behind Michele Tafoya in MN. She's running a great race. Don't allow them to play with the Votes after the race is over. The Federal Govt will be watching closely. The only way she can lose is if they cheat. We can't allow that to happen, because I won MN three times ... "

Rely? No. But I find it very helpful and it adds a lot of fun context to what is already on screen.

Do you rely on expanded universe material to explain lore gaps in the movies? #StarWars #ExpandedUniverse #Lore #Worldbuilding

I keep thinking about this. The answers her AI came up with were so generic. You're telling me that you, a CEO, could not have come up with that about your own child? That is so bleak.

I know the idea of romanticizing monarchies is (rightfully) not very popular these days, but Anastasia is such a great film. Don Bluth is an animation God.

Stunning Lula victory in Brazil is another sign of how easily we all let ourselves get psy-op-ed by the right's expressions of confidence into, you know, believing them. We really have to get over that habit!

Zach Halper reposted

So how did Lula come from behind to defeat Bolsonaro? In short, turnout. Bolsonaro's vote share barely moved. But Lula banked millions of votes from those who didn't vote in the first round & won eliminated candidates' votes. A remarkable mobilisation. Second round turnout is usually below first.

We should still be vigilant. But this should give people hope.

Puff the Magic Hater@mskellymhayes.bsky.social

I just want to name that people overcame this. Even against a stacked deck, the good fight is worth it. Win or lose, it's worth it. And sometimes the good guys win.

Trump should have a deranged Truth Social post out any minute now.

Lula has been reelected president, Brazilian media has now called. An extraordinary comeback for the left-wing politician who trailed by 2 points in round 1 but managed to hold off Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president's son.

No lies here. Just watched the original this weekend after watching the show and it also makes that film a bit more rewarding.

Hot take: CRYSTAL LAKE is the best thing narratively to ever come out of the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise. Best characters, best performances, most interesting story in the series, and it still keeps the sleazy fun and over-the-top gore of the original films.

Liberal democracy remains a towering achievement of humanity and it is worth fighting for.

Any politician who’s willing to throw away one group’s rights is willing to throw away everyone’s rights. It’s that simple. Every single consultant, pundit and candidate who’s shown a willingness to abandon trans rights needs to be shunned from the party forever

That it'll fail because they lack sufficient consolidation and centralized control does not make it trivial that the president of the United States is trying to steal elections and produce an illegitimate sham Congress. It is open rebellion against the Constitution and morally tantamount to treason.
