We're currently looking for more work. Both clients and contract. We're both hybrid designer/developers and have access across the board with most techs.
Our latest projects include: rocketscience.gg and their sister studios. Also the design system for www.futurehome.io apps.
#LookingForWork
This is exactly the principle that has fucked up everything from deli flyers to UX in billion-dollar products
Once upon a time, even if you were doing something on your own, it took long enough to do that it made you think about what you were doing! You had time to think "hang on, this sucks."
I think the thing about AI and small business owners is that previously the design would have to be run past either a second person who know some amount of design, or they'd learn photoshop and some amount of design with it
now they can ask the AI to do their bad design
and the AI never says no
this is fantastic! not only did they add profile links, but they made the sponsor ones green to highlight them as a CTA to help independent folks get funded. great move, bluesky 💙
v1.136 is live!
Introducing: Profile links
We want independent writers, artists, developers, and creators to be able to build and fund sustainable projects on Bluesky.
Help your followers know how to support you by adding buttons for Patreon, Ko-fi, your newsletter or website, and more.
I've switched tactics from calling "llms are sentient beings" nitwits stupid to agreeing with them and saying "yeah!! Furbies too!!!" and they get so much madder lmao
I also want Vertical Slice to evolve beyond the confines of a traditional paper. That's why I'm launching The Repository, a growing (free) collection of pitch decks and design docs donated by generous contributors including @kitfoxgames.com, @outersloth.com, and @outerloopgames.bsky.social.
I'm available for work!
- Characters
- Rigging and Animations
- Environments Art
I've worked on Teardown, Vampire Crawlers, Moonglow Bay and many more!
Feel free to DM me or email

Being a Linux user feels like constantly "Oh, maybe I'll hack together a little app to do that" and ending up rewriting tooling a million times.
(Also, one day I'd like to not be a user who constantly considers changing their shell every 2 months. It's been 4 different ones this year alone.)
Greetings geeks!
We’re scouring the land for a new hire, and we want to hear from all you talented people! Come and take a peek at the fresh listing now live on our careers site.

Digital Ocean ended their $50/month sponsorship of GNOME and FlatHub and went radio silent on CSS-Tricks right around the time they found a spare three million dollars to burn on “sponsoring” a high-profile racist’s dotfiles repo.
Impossible to see this as anything but a statement of their values.
Huge congratulations to the US-based Wikimedia Foundation employees who voted with 92% support in favor of unionizing, and shoutout to the tireless work of the organizers.
Our @ffconf.org newsletter is back, and so is our RSS feed.
Tickets have re-opened (again, limited), we highlight Ruth John's Day Disco and pluck a few links from the web, including Amazon burning books for AI training…

I never know what to say on social media anymore. So I'll try and do a Happy List, like I used to. (No emoji's because I got to get a nice picker for Linux still.)
* Started watching ST: Strange New Worlds and it's such my happy place to be watching it again
* It's Stanley's 6th got-day anniversary
* Building multiple projects, and enjoying the challenges of Rust again. So fun to be building a TUI - not my usual thing.
* Finishing my HomeAssistant project finally. Had it in my drawer for a few years.
* Missed people and enjoying being back in social media.
I'm currently available for work!
I have 15 years of experience making art for games - pixel art and 2D, be it still or animated :)
I'm specially open for illustrative work, commissions, part time and/or short-term projects!

@figma.com Hey folks.
Have you thought more about Linux support?
It's the one tool in my arsenal that doesn't have native support. Would really adore to see.

I'm hiring in London!

⏰ We need to act fast! ⏰
We have less than a month to flood MP's inboxes and get them to rip up the EHRC's transphobic guidance 👇

that is SIX AND A HALF TIMES the Arts & Humanities Research Council budget… spent on a technology specifically designed to replace workers in creative industries.
The absolute contempt this labour party has for people who actually work for a living…
I think one of my overall dislikes for the AI craze happening is it's just another version of "Ship fast and break things."
I don't want to be faster. I want to be more thoughtful. More impactful with the same footprint. I want my work to produce more meaning.
AI is great for speed but not quality
📢 Casting call 📢
Hi, we're looking for a female narrator for our new game!
No VA experience neeeded, and no accent preference. Must have access to ok mic, like a home podcasting setup.
Paid gig, of course.
Would love to hear reading samples in your natural voice:
hi@calligramstudio.com 🙏❤️
Just to give a sense of the insane scale of billions of dollars…MacKenzie Scott got about $38 billion after divorcing Bezos in 2019. She has become the world’s most generous philanthropist, giving away over $19 billion…and she’s currently wealthier than she started.
Just. Tax. Them.
I and Jason are currently working on implementing the CSS `polygon() round` keyword in Chrome.
This is one of my favorite CSS features! Thanks to @lea.verou.me for bringing it to CSS.
Enable the `enable-experimental-web-platform-features` flag in Chrome Canary

I am probably going to be posting a lot today because you are all the main characters right now and I need you to do whatever you can personally to knock us off this current course.
Find your joy where you need to get your spark, then go do something: call a senator, run for office, do something
Completely unstable and perilous. The House must bring up impeachment articles, and the Senate needs to remove a president who wants to commit war crimes. We cannot sit idly by as Donald Trump threatens to end an entire civilization.
Have a break. Have 12 Tonnes of KitKat.
Remember, kids, Nestle is literally the company who literally told African mothers that their breast milk wasn't good enough in order to sell more formula.
Don't be a snitch, now.
Every time I feel someone tries to gaslight me into AI personal assistants, I think of the Meta Head of AI Safety having her emails deleted, while begging the AI not to. (Someone who technically should be better than most general users.)

I'm also exhausted with the vibecode spam. People posting new projects they'll never update, that they don't know the fundamentals of why the AI made the choices it made.
It makes sifting for new projects incredibly hard.
I think AI has it's uses, but I think the over the top AI psychosis of shiny new tech (and FOMO) is causing people to drop their guard, and push too hard (and too soon) for adoption.

Do not get me wrong. There's some magic when using AI sometimes, but people seem to forget the several hours banging your head against the wall trying to make it do simple things other times
It's shiny, and it's new, and people are overselling it and it's going to continue to cause irreparable harm
#Section28 caused real harm. It erased lives, denied support, and left lasting shame and silence that many are still living with today.
Please sign and share this petition calling for a public inquiry into the impact of Section 28 on #LGBTQ people. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
