This is my personal opinion based on what affects me obvs Terrifier makes me laugh from the absurdity of it all, while Saw has actually made me feel nauseated and faint before. Particularly that one thing in Saw X with the bone marrow like that shit makes my butt clench just talking about it lmao

My brain doesn’t register fictional violence as real, it only registers human emotion even when it’s simulated via acting. I respond to realistic depictions of suffering. That’s why I don’t cry when characters die, I cry when characters REACT to characters dying Also, realistic medical shit. NOPE.

Reason 1: Realism. Saw gore is (mostly) gritty & realistic, Terrifier gore looks like claymation Reason 2: Acting. The actors in Saw REALLY sell that shit, no matter how garbage the scripts are. The girl in the infamous Terrifier ‘Bedroom Scene’ sounds like me when I stub my toe
