Lol that would mean they care for millions more than they actually do. The real percentage is actually the top .001 to .1%. You’re not wealthy enough if you’re only in the top 1-5%.

We don’t have a budget, remember. If you’re talking about the vote last week, it’s a continuing resolution (CR), enacted (supposedly) to JUST keep the government open through at least the break, so that our dumb congress can finally come up with a budget to include 9/11 healthcare and MORE! Yay!!!

Also they now get to dodge Teslas on Autopilot driving straight into their stopped trucks and blowing up (something that has been happening since 2018 and will likely be happening a lot more now that King Elon is in charge)

What are you going on about? I'm no fan of Biden, but presidents don't discipline members of Congress. Voters do that by voting them out of office next time around. As for the budget, it's the Speaker's job to negotiate the budget, not the president's.

The GOP party does not care about 9/11 firefighters and first responders. Their constituents are big money, corporations, big donors, right wing White Christian Nationalists and enriching their bank accounts.

I hope 2025 is finally the finding out part for conservatives. Who would have guessed voting against your own self interests for culture war BS, you get fucked by the US oligarchs... again... Let's hope conservatives actually learn something this season: class consciousness.

Thank you for the correction. Since 2020, time's been so compressed it's hard to keep track of when which legislative body flipped one way or the other. The Dems controlled the House during the 117th Congress.

My parents technically voted against their own self-interest on quite a few occasions, but that's because they sincerely believed in improving the lives of those less fortunate than themselves. But I agree that that's not quite the same thing!

Mine passed in January. I’m still so heartbroken. He was a proud Marine and NYC high school teacher (UFT). He taught me to never cross a picket line!

Firefighters. You're paid for by the government. As a public good. You are the epitome of a socialist institution. Why was this a difficult decision? Reap what you sow I guess. Or I suppose we all do if our houses are on fire. Thanks, asshats.

Democrats coming out for the Amazon & Postal workers… when? Or have they fully abandoned the (non-police) Unions to the ‘leopards’ after they decided to prioritize committing genocide and paying celebs over winning? We need a Union party. We needed it now, since the ‘opposition’ is all Vichy.

Here’s the part where I tell you Dems have already been on the picket lines with Amazon workers here in Michigan, followed shortly by the part where you move the goalposts and say that that doesn’t count and Dems should [insert action here] instead.

They’re flooding them out in New York, using the cops like Pinks (gotta wonder what they are doing for money, actually) and the national dems actually have the cohones to hide behind the Ohio party which they have fully abandoned. Laughable.

Yes, some locals in the Midwest are not more concerned about CEO safety than unions or the minimum wage, that is fantastic, they should start a party that prioritizes that and I’ll vote for that. I used to do door to door for the Dems and they lost me for good; buncha Vichy fash genocidal maniacs.
