Whatever viral nonsense is going around right now is brutal. I’m snorting saline like coke at a Don Jr party today

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. I got a health newsletter that said there was a new Covid strain and they cited the CDC. I haven’t hunted down the data on it but it was reported to be milder. 🤷‍♀️ Whatever you have, have some soup and rest up.

Got covid vaccine as well as flu. Traveling internationally and masking up on public transport. Washing my hands so that my skin is dry and using candy wipes. If I get anything it certainly won't be from lack of trying to not get it. But a lot of people here (currently on a cruise) are coughing...😷

Feel better!!!! (I'm having trouble not being seasick. Storms here, with 3, 6 and tonite, 9 foot swells. Yikes!)

Elderberry syrup. Specifically, the Sambucol brand. No, I don't own their stock -but it REALLY helps get your own immune system up off the mat and fighting. A tablespoon, 3x a day.

You’re allergic to leaf mould. My worst “hay fever” of the year comes just before the snows, and it’s the wet leaves doing it. In spring, when the snow melts, it comes back again, before any plants are in leaf. Check with your allergist

Leaves are what did it to me. Mowed without having a mask on and breathed in all the leaf dust that was kicking up. 12-hour Allegra (without the D), Tylenol, and saline mist, all as needed, did the trick for me.

Also I find when I have allergies if I put on a well fitting mask ( I use N95’s) I feel better because they filter out the pollens. It’s dead easy to tell if it’s allergies or an illness. Hope someone finds this helpful for them!

Try local honey. It helps your immune system recognize local pollens so you don’t have the big reaction when you get a lungful of pollen. It has to be honey that’s locally produced in your area & it will switch every 6 weeks-ish to stay current with your pollen. Farmers markets are a good source

My nose was running like a faucet last week. I have never experienced anything like that ever. Negative for Covid. Assuming it was the worst ragweed season ever.

Opera singer, here. *Zicam * Cherry Bark cough syrup * Mucinex (Guaifenisen) 400 - 800mg -> Thins mucus * Sudafed - the old kind. For runny nose and head congestion. The new kind that’s on the shelf doesn’t help. Eg: behind the counter CVS or Safeway pharmacy and ask for the old Pseudoephedrine

I read this far too many times, finally resulting in going to comments to figure out you were taking about an illness and not some new political 🐴💩 the abomination did that resulted in something going viral. 🙄 Feel better soon!

We were in Canada for 10 days at end of September and planned to get flu and covid shots in October. Oops. Influenza B, for me! And as a 68 year old, it sucked, big time. I’m STILL coughing three weeks later. Three days + of fever—knocked me on my ass. Hard to bounce back. GET VACCINATED—YESTERDAY.

My son has been fighting it off and on for two weeks. Hubby also. I have had my latest COVID and Flu shots and nothing. Might be a good idea to take a covid and/or flu test

My Doc prescribed a nasel saline with Levoflaxin in it. Since it’s impossible to get Levoquin for severe sinus infections, this is actually better since it’s not absorbed into your bloodstream. It really helps with severe sinus infections. Hope you feel better soon!

Are we sure it is viral? I had the worst upper respiratory infection for two months that kept getting worse and officially turned to pneumonia. Worst sore throat that had coloring of strep but different pattern, wasn’t strep. Wasn’t influenza. Wasn’t Covid. Could not get rid of it.

My Mum lives in New Zealand & they had a brutal flu season (which is a precursor for North America). A friend works in the funeral business & they had more seniors die this winter from this than during Covid.

NZs all cause mortality dropped during COVID as flu etc. didn't make it into the country and when those that did were limited in their circulation. A better comparison for "normal" flue rates would be to compare to pre-COVID.

Agreed. Although it’s more of an emotional comparison than one that actually shows how bad things are now as the data shows that period had very low deaths due to flu etc.

Almost everyone I know is sick and most are not getting better or keep getting another thing. I'm on week 4. It's brutal and rather alarming. I do know repeated COVID cases damage our immune systems...

Cleveland Clinic: “Manuka honey has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.” Get a jar with a high MGO.

Take care of yourself and we hope you feel better. You're probably well aware of how much better hot toddies can make you feel! Angry, I think I still have lasting effects from the COVID I tested positive for a month ago.

I got my mmr, covid, flu, and tetanus vaccines last week. Hopping to avoid whatever is, going on. Also, I didn't get autism from all those vacations. Go figure

Brave! I couldn’t bring myself to add the pneumonia shot to my flu and Covid shots last week. You did tetanus, dang! Now I feel like a wimp. My tetanus is overdue 😳

Husband and I both got flu and Covid vaccines before going on a trip to Europe. We both caught whatever is going around and the cough is brutal. 2 1/2 weeks of this and still coughing.

I had something last week that felt like Covid, but I tested negative several times for Covid and the Flu. Really makes me wonder if there are new strains or something else going around. Either way, not fun. I was down for the count for most of last week. Hope you feel better soon!

Traveling Route 66, celebrating 100 years of the "Mother Road", "Main Street of America", my wife caught something in OKC had to divert to Buckeye, AZ (family here) ER from Flagstaff . . . admitted to hospital overnight . . . RSV. Still hope to make to Santa Monica peer.

A friend decided to wait a week between her flu and covid shots, and got covid. I've had both but am getting hit with allergy symptoms now. Started on allergy meds last night. Good luck.

Saline spray, hydration daily and vitamins from Synergy. My favorite to have on hand is Rescue remedy from Synergy. C, B-complex, Zinc and D daily. And Manuka honey on hand too! Feel better!

Was super-surprised to randomly take a test and find out I have Covid. No fever, no cough - just all up in the nose. Would have thought it was a bad sinus cold, if it hadn't been for the crushing fatigue.

It was AWFUL. I'm finally on the mending side, but good grief...! Mucinex also works if you can use it...to get some sleep.

I take it despite having high blood pressure. The stuff made for those of us with high blood pressure does absolutely nothing for me. Even with being on four different allergy medications, this time of year gives my sinuses hell.

Omg- aren’t you somewhere east, like DC? Family converged here in CA from MT, NE, Switzerland , and the Swiss contingent got it first. The rest of us are blaming them as we hack and cough around with stuffy heads. It’s evil.

My daughter got Influenza A the last week of September and it took her out! She’s still getting over the cough. She told me half her office is out sick with similar symptoms

This might sound silly, but ppl say it’s a good idea when you’re sick to increase ventilation in your space so you’re not rebreathing in the active virus in the air. So opening windows, and/or using hepa air filters won’t hurt to try. 🤷‍♀️

I lived that after Labor Day. I swear the in-laws infect me! We had a wedding and the hubman came home sneezing. First days he thought it was allergies. Then it settled in his chest. I,of course, started feeling a cold in my sinuses and throat. Flush, eat zinc/vitamin C tabs. It made a difference.
