BASH: I want you to use your bully pulpit to tells parents who have not vaccinated their kids that they should vaccine their kids for measles. Will you do that? Look into the camera RFK Jr: I'll say it right now. Parents should get their children vaccinated for measles.

A chunk of the mmr haters want to have the shots seperated so they can get just the measles part. Because they fear complexity and the mixed vaccines seem more complicated. Here he is dog whistling to them by saying the measles vaccine vs mmr

It is much more dangerous to get them separately. There is a small but real risk of having an acute reaction to any injection, and the more injections you get, the higher the risk. Not to mention that they don't make these vaccines separately.

"you're scaring people" NO, RFK Jr, YOU are scaring people and they should be afraid of your inept, unqualified, conspiracy based decisions. STEP DOWN NOW!!!

This is so fucked, having to coerce the senior health official in a country, to begrudgingly say something that will save the lives of children. He should be volunteering and promoting this independently.

It was in July 1885 that Louis Pasteur successfully tested the first rabies vaccine, setting the stage for modern medical breakthroughs...and then there's RFKJr with his new book out this fall...

Vaccines help prevent autism. Yes, that is what the evidence says. If mom gets her shots before and during pregnancy, and the infant gets all of the recommended shots, there is a small decline in the risk of developing autism. Having infections as a fetus and infant is bad for the brain.

Advice from a politician! He leveraged his voters to push his way into this job. He realized that if he gave Trump what he wanted, total support, he could reshape the health department to his crazy. Unqualified and incompetent. Perfect GOP leadership resume.

I don’t always like Bash but this was a great public service. Thank you, Dana! Now can we get someone from Fox and Newsmax to ask him to make the same proclamation on their channels?

i just survived shingles on my face near my eye.I’ll regret not getting the vaccine but thought i was safe because I never had chickenpox. But apparently I had a mild case somewhere along the way. Im getting the vaccine as soon as i can. I hope the nerve damage in my ear and my face heals one day.

So— We’re gonna do this one disease at a time now? Wait until it’s bad PR and then do the vaccinate advisory? Prevention AFTER the epidemic to a bad news day? You are a stupe, bro.

Pay no attention to Robert Kennedy. He has no idea what he’s talking about. If you listen to Caroline Kennedy‘s statement about why he shouldn’t be elected you will understand.

He’s an abusive person. Anyone who doesn’t vaccinate their children (unless there are extenuating circumstances-one of my babies has kidney cancer and wasn’t able to get vaccinated until later) should be considered neglectful and abusive.

Just not sure why after 12+ years of these MAGA interview tactics (shouting, talk over, argumentative, lying), journalists STILL get flustered and seemly have no answer for it. How does this nonsense work? Do we need to go over to the UK to get some hard-hitting interviewers?

she still had to water things down with weasels words like "not entirely true", "not accurate" etc while he was telling her to her face that hers lies caused the death of millions

So measles vaccine is OK now but not all the others? What a 2-faced lying a-hole. Give those maga-ites something to stew about while their kids get vaxxed. 😆

Good for Dana! I can't believe what this a**ho** has gotten away with. Children suffering and possibly dying, because of his idiotic conspiracy theories. Why are we tolerating this?! #IdioticConspiracies

RFK Jr. went on CNN to defend his public-health record and instead delivered a masterclass in grievance theater. Watch Dana Bash ask for evidence while America’s health secretary blames the smoke on everyone but the man holding the match. essayx.substack.com/p/rfk-jr-get...

essayx.substack.comRFK Jr. Gets a Booster Shot of GrievanceOn CNN, America’s health secretary turned a vaccine interview into another episode of: ''Everybody Is Lying Except Me''

Use your "bully pulpit?" What a horrible way to phrase trying to get kids vaccinated. Don't explain WHY to the parents: Just bully them into doing what you want them to do.🙄

Everything has risks. Medical bedside manner is waning & I’d argue doctors are more flippant with treatments education than they should be. But the answer is MORE rigorous training for doctors, not rampant skepticism. Better experts is the answer. Not eliminating experts & favoring idiots.

But but but...what about the autism????? They just put a big warning on their website that the link is maybe, probably, if you reeeeeeallly think about it...real

Hi Leslie, From 1963 to 1965, large-scale measles vaccination campaigns began across America, mainly targeting young children. RFK Jr. was born in 1954, nine years earlier, putting him among the last generation where most children were still likely to catch measles before widespread vaccination.

1)vaccine 2)Complications can be severe, such as encephalitis, deafness, and blindness. In US, CDC estimates 1 of every 5 unvaccinated people who get measles will need to be hospitalized; and between 1 and 3 of every 1,000 children with the disease will die of its complications. fuck rfkjr

Exactly. We’ve come so far that people no longer remember how life changing polio, measles, mumps etc can be. So much incredible scientific and medical progress of last 20 years - undone by this selfish greedy narcissistic incompetent government. With repercussions felt around the world. 😡

The really scary part is that he is actively trying to get rid of all vaccines. You won't have the option to get vaccinated because he is going to personally make sure they are never available to anyone.

Most reasonable thing I’ve heard come out of his mouth other than I believe it was at his confirmation hearing where HE said “nobody should be taking medical advice from me“😒

Sure, it's the most reasonable thing the jackass has ever said. But let's be real, if RFK Jr., Trump, and the rest of MAGA extremist hadn't gutted expertise at every turn, we wouldn't be in this mess. We'd have actual scientists and medical professionals handling problems the moment they came up.

It was and still is. It's deeply sad for us, and for everyone who has suffered, lost loved ones, or is grieving right now. The truly unfortunate part is that Trump, RFK Jr., and the rest of the MAGA extremists aren't done.

A careful observer may note, his motivation in saying those words was not to educate families, but to defend himself. He didn't look at the camera, he referenced what was on his website. Not because he wants you to have the information, but to present himself as being right and consistent.

The optics and sonics of choosing to elevate someone who sounds like they are LITERALLY DYING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES DIRECTLY BECAUSE OF THE HEALTH CHOICES THEY HAVE MADE as some kind of health expert is top tier "How the world sees the USA, with open eyes."

Yesterday RFK, Jr. claimed that the US had the highest Covid death rate in the world (which is false) while simultaneously claiming that US ICU departments were empty at the peak of the pandemic (which is extremely false), and it's completely contradictory to his first lie.

RFK, Jr. left a trail of dead children in his wake, as he and his family profit from anti-vax litigation, even though he vaccinated his own kids. Following a drop in vax rates in Samoa--encouraged by RFK, Jr.--more than one in 150 infants age 6 to 11 months died from the measles:
