deep thoughts with Katie Zacharia: "I remember thinking, 'How is China the next country on the horizon? They don't even have proper toilets!'"

Yeah, no shared bums on public toilet seats in china. (idiot) Did you know that China even has HEATED sitting toilets? They even have skyscrapers (gasp)!! High speed rail networks (oh NO!)

The folks at Pepperdine will need to get a robust defense of their undergraduate & law school program. Like those fools in this regime with degrees from Harvard, Yale, Cornell, et al, it is not a good look to have US Government officials obviously dumb with a B as a box of rocks. Wow we have sunk.

Katie hangs out by her mailbox daily, and when she is asked why, she says because my computer keeps saying, "You've got mail"!!

(Mrs. Figmo here) Katie, please explain what a "proper" toilet is. Maybe theirs are the proper ones and yours are not.

Does Katie realize that there are many places in this here country we call the United States that don't have any toilets and still have outhouses? They have well water that they hand pump? And the republicans are allowing big corporations to pollute what little water is left underground?

How does she remember the suitability of toilets in China when she can't even remember that she never passed the bar?

Genitalia, bodily evacuation, voyeurism, pedophilia, lip/breast/buttocks enlargements…it’s as if MAGA-GOP folk just keep their potty mouths and minds fixated in the gutter 24/7.

I don't particularly think she is bright enough to even understand this: "The specific phrasing "The next country on the horizon" does not have a definitive origin; rather, it is a blend of two distinct linguistic concepts: maritime navigation history and modern geopolitical analysis."

I suppose the next thing she will say is that Hawaii is one large beach and only has one island. What's next, Greenland is green and Iceland is ice? It'll be even worse than that, won't it?

She reminded me of my favorite line from a 1938 movie with Gary Cooper as Marco Polo. He asks his Chinese host for the name of the delicious plate of noodles. The Chinese host replies, "We call it spaghetti" 😂

The toilet I bought from china is absolutely amazing. Heated seat, heated bidet, heated air dry, night light. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

🙄 My Daughter lived in China for 15 years, so I made a number of trips over to see her. Chinese toilets run the gamut from an open trough with water running through it, to "western toilets" such as we would recognise. And more and more "western toilets" are available..."proper" toilets.

YOu need to practice squatting to poo, and washing your hands. Unlike many western men, who shake, dribble and wander back to the bar, and stuff their hands in a shared olive bow.

The Reality: When researchers secretly observe public restrooms, only about 31% to 65% of men wash their hands with soap after using the toilet or urinal. Self-Reported Gap: In surveys, 85% to 90% of men claim they always wash their hands in public, showing a significant social-desirability bias.

What's truly appalling about her statement is she worked as an intern in China and knows better. Their infrastructure is far more advanced than ours. When is infrastructure week anyway?

There's going to be this fascinating phenomenon where, as American fortunes and prosperity continues to decline, certain people are going to have to stretch to incredible lengths to avoid dealing with the cognitive dissonance that is American exceptionalism.

China has squat toilets in many places—they consider them “proper toilets” she’s a xenophobic idiot

I don’t know. Last time I was in China the bidet and water pressure in the shower in my room were better than what I get here.
