WHAT?? How is the patient in control of that?? Where is the 'insure' in insurance? If doctors and insurance companies continue killing people with their absurd policies.. they won't have any customers left!

Me: Doc you get this brain tumor out by 11:15....I can't afford a $1200 extra anesthesia bill. Doc: I'm on it! I drank an extra cup of coffee and a red bull and the nurses are on rollerskates. We're going for record time. Me: 👍

Well, that's tough, but I get it. I mean, when I need my toilet fixed, I always ask a hair stylist to set a firm limit on how much it costs. In a pinch, I might let a landscape architect or a barrista do it. Honestly, anyone who doesn't know anything about toilets is a pretty good bet.

WTF! Does that mean people will have to be awake during surgery if they run into an issue and it takes longer? What are they thinking???

With the new administration coming in, companies are well aware they are not going to be regulated, or held accountable and will do whatever they want to increase their bottom line to increase their bonuses, and use $$ to pay off any of the Trump appointees for anything they need.

Maybe “Universal Health Care” isn’t such a BAD IDEA… you would get care and not have critical procedures and medically necessary treatment denied by insurance companies or faced with devastating medical bills! There is a need to balance “profits” and the care for patients… and care should win!

I didn’t know that, thanks! Yeah even more puzzling now. I wonder if the top brass gets higher bonuses for cutting costs. It seems like a super unethical thing to do. Sorry, your son had a heart attack during surgery because we had to turn off his Anastasia. So sorry for your loss.

And people say they don't want Universal Care because it is "Socialism" and they want to keep their private healthcare. This is profit over people. These companies just want your cash and will deny you coverage. People need to wake up and stop believing the lies

"Unfair Claims Practices Act" They will grossly underpay a claim. The provider being grossly understaffed will bill the patient. Mbr svcs will say file an appeal. Most will give up. Insurance "saves$".

Insured is left with huge bill because many appeal citing its unfair with no support docs to prove why insurance should allow and pay more. For example there was a complication. Vicious and evil complicated for average person 😡

It looks like starting from February 2024, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in Connecticut, New York, and Missouri will reject any anesthesia claims that exceed the specified time limits for surgeries and procedures. This policy change could affect both healthcare providers and

This has to be the most absa-fudginglutely brainless idea anyone has ever had. We need cost transparency in medicine. We don't need someone going under praying their doctor is fast enough to meet an arbitrary time limit that a patient can't control. Then imagine all the f-ups that'll occur rushing.

Everyone involved in that decision should be terminated (from the healthcare industry, not in the T-1000 liquid metal through the eye way), have their wealth stripped from them, and be forced to live with no insurance for the rest of their lives while earning minimum wage.
