Just a suggestion but maybe they should hire Gringo Loco to teach basing 101 at the PC. If just so poor Tiffy doesn't die live on ESPN and Netflix. (Video from @crashoutayala on X, The Everything App.)

The one ref was just touching the ladder with one hand. I know you have to gesticulate because its your job but your other, more important job, is to secure the ladder.

Ive had jobs where I've had to climb ladders not jump off of them, so I'm no expert, but it seems like it would make more sense to turn the ladder parallel, rather than perpendicular to the people on the floor. You have more room to clear; but way more stable.

The ppl who are pointing at Tiffy have NO GROUND here. The moment she’s at the top, she’s placing all her trust in refs holding the ladder & the women there to break her fall. Sadly the refs didn’t hold it that well & the women weren’t able to improvise to react. There needs to be better training

No zomg how fake does it look that the refs had to hold the ladder discourse? No? Don't do shit if you can't do it. It's like watching every canyon jump that comes up short. She just needs some raw milk and roadkill, she'll be back. To 100% in no time

And the fact that doing the spot like this looks kind of fake (everyone just standing around waiting to catch her, or rather, NOT catch her) makes it not even worth this kind of risk. If you're gonna do high dives off ladders they should be table spots

First time seeing this now, it'd be hard to convince me that want a planned catch and powerbomb it was that awful. I hope she's not permanently damaged by that.

Hasn't basically this exact thing happened to Tiffany before too? It was either in last years MITB or another ladder match maybe? The issue is I could be confusing it with a clip from another WWE ladder match cause it feels like so many women haven't been caught on these big dives in recent years.

Oh someone posted the clip. It was Tiffany but it was in NXT. Jesus, at a certain point, you probably have to say you don't trust your colleagues sadly and turn down those spots.

I'm not sure if she's a fit now but they could work with her. Plus, there might be better bases. I know there's this meme about tall, strong AEW women but that probably helps a lot. Willow, Divine Dominion, Brawling Birds, Statlander could probably help.

What, like, Mercedes Moné? Adam Copeland? Kofi? Come on, man. I get your point, yo a degree, but saying she wouldn't fit in AEW is a lie. You can take what you learned in a restrictive environment and thrive elsewhere. Talent is talent.

Why is no one moving to try to catch her? They just stood still. Like you see someone go short, you adjust as best you can even if it makes the spot look "less real"

Ive had friends in cheerleading, Her plan is to get out and over. You can tell they've practiced it before because the catchers are at a set distance. She goes to jump and the base isn't solid, gives way, turning the out and over into a sheer drop. Literally no time to adjust.

Holy shit thats worse than the official angle!!!!! This kinda shit is going to get someone killed!!!! My god! I agree with you. Get someone into the PC who knows what they are doing and gives a shit!

Jesus Christ. I've said it before, but they should hire a good cheerleading coach just to teach basing and catching

Its becoming clear so many of the wrestlers are dangerous to work with, whether through lack of training or reps or something. This was closer to a Final Destination scene than most would like to admit.

tbh she's just really bad at jumping off ladders. The same thing happened to her in NXT when she jumped from a ladder in the ring to outside the ring. She doesn't jump off, she just tumbles.

I seem to remember a large collection of Fed fans losing their minds because a referee held a ladder in an AEW match once. Don't see them making the same complaints here.

AEW fans bring the suspension of disbelief themselves. They want killer spots but they are never going to complain about protecting the workers so you can actually pull them off

The refs are the problem with the spot. The ladder isn't based properly, and it moves like a foot and a half when she tries to push off.
