Add another Democratic candidate who has taken an anti-trans stance this campaign. Virtually everyone missed this one. Adam Hamilton's US senate campaign in Kansas called transgender girls "boys," opposed athletics, and was in favor of a surgery ban. Haven't seen this one reported anywhere yet.

Because the @democrats.org are a conservative party. They have been since Clinton, maybe since Carter. Theyre Neoliberals, and that is an inherently conservative economic philosophy There is no Left in American national politics. There is a fascist religious party and a free market economics party

Sigh. Not terribly surprising. He was like my 2nd to last choice in the primary because the vibe was extremely centrist leaning. Guess it's time to make an angry phone call

Lib Democrats literally have no position worth defending, no line they won’t back over to keep consultants and backers happy. We’ve got plenty in OR, and sadly no realistic way to upset their stranglehold on the legislature here.

The best chance Kansas has, and a major win for Democrats in the Senate should he prevail. Not sure what is expected from a pastor in the middle of red America where a democrat hasn't won a senate seat in a century.

I'd expect him to run on any of the many, obvious, and strong winning positions Democrats have this cycle. And to pivot to them if asked how the Senate should regulate youth sports, notable as being something it very much should not do. Ditto for getting between you and your child's doctor.

..and there’s Kansas. Do the Dems not want our votes? Seems like they think they can win without us. Good luck with that, cretins.

Post Citizens United american two party system is what needs to be dismantled brick by brick Parliamentary system is more representative of true democracy Money out This metastasized corruption has to be removed

I mentioned it a little while back; nobody's talking about David Jolly's anti-trans garbage, either. It flew totally under everybody's radar because he released it in a long video on his own site, instead of as an ad.

I just found out David Jolly, running for governor in Florida, also jumped on the anti-trans bandwagon. He put out a video saying "I don't intend to change the current law prohibiting men in women's sports," and so on. He's lost my vote. davidjolly.com/issues/equal...

I'm a trans woman running for State Representative in Kansas. I refuse to carry his campaign lit or platform him on social media. I don't sing his praises like I do for the other candidates. I've been wary of him for months. It's exhausting. 🫶🌻

In theory, since everyone is telling us the democrats will win simple majorities in both houses, a speaker and a majority leader would have to at least permit an anti-trans proposal to move through committee etc. How much that helps us is TBD

they already have! a bunch! most effectively with the dem NDAA biden signed to ban trans youth from TRICARE. you can go look at my contemporaneous yelling about how we easily could have stopped it in the summer but didn't bc the orgs thought letting them do it would help dems win the election lol

I’m sure they would allow that. Most Democrats are vile bigots and hate us for what they see as ruining their image and costing them Israeli donor dollars. In a just world any time anti trans legislation is proposed the majority leader would go full Charles Sumter on the person who proposed it

My one purity test is I will only vote for the Dem that puts *your* head on a spike. I'm willing to let every other issue slide, but this is my one sticking point. Deal?

Hey Steve, I hope you don't belong to any groups that people might consider electorally inconvenient at any point, since you apparently consider fundamental human rights to be up for a popularity contest, you bigoted little pissant.

Even when they win they wage war same as the Republicans. People shouldn't have power, and we're wasting our time when all we do is dicker about who should have it. Ⓐ

Come on Steve, show us the evidence. Any evidence. I mean, you must have some. It couldn't be that you're trying to launder your personal transphobia and other bigotries as virtuous, rational political strategy? I mean, if that's not the case, surely you have reams of empirical support?

...... there is literally zero evidence that throwing trans people under the bus could have changed a single US election outcome to be in favor of the democrats.

Democrats are hopeless. There is no way this squishy, cowardly centrist is going to do what it takes to slow or stop the fascism train.
