No it was the final straw but wages haven’t kept up w inflation year to year since 1978. Weve been poorer every year since and that’s before the mass price gouging masquerading as inflation since 2020and wtf do you mean “buffeted” Talk about obfuscating

Look at the Ports... they are empty; nothing is going out, or coming in. USA is already bankrupt, the governments, media and corporatocracy are hiding it until the Billionaires take all the profit they can; by dumping shit into pension funds by promising pension fund managers big jobs.

Forbes, please investigate: In 2011 the price of a barrel of oil was exactly the same as today $105. The price of gas was $0.70 to $1.00 cheaper than today. We're being fucked by the fossil fuel companies. Thanks to Citizens United, Fossil Fuel Corporations own 98% of both sides of DC. AGREE?

we haven't begun to feel the long term effects... the "optimism" they try to sell is bullshit... the COVID supply chain should have taught us something.. you cannot fix it over night no matter when the war ends bsky.app/profile/ogre...

NEWS FLASH : Shipping expert says.. we have not begun to see the true effects war against IRAN...the minor price rises are nothing...It takes over a Month for ships that left the Straits to get to europe.. last of the supplies shipped before the war are running out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-xS...

Honestly, I haven’t seen gas prices jump like they did after Ukraine, and the Iran conflict hasn’t hit supply chains the same way. Are people actually feeling it, or is this just lingering inflation fatigue?

They don't control inflation. They just pretend they do. They have this mad theory that they can decrease inflation by decreasing the money supply by increasing interest rates on federal securities. Increasing costs decreases inflation? Paying more for national debt lowers prices?

No kidding. Who ever predicted that gas prices ”stabilizing” around $3 a gallon between 2024-2025 after 15+ years of wild fluctuations since the 2008 recession & middle east issues & Covid would go from $3.08 a gallon on March 1, 2026 to $4.94 for basic unleaded on 5/6/26 in a “red” city & county?

What about this Trump BS boasts about 'we are the greatest oil producing nation' & about we got Venezuela's oil? By that logic, we should be seen gasoline prices like in Venezuela, & prewar Iran, < $1.00/gal. Yea for Capitalism, Oil companies are raking in $ while US gas price is > $6/gal.😬

You shoukd be ashamed @forbes.com All of your reporting is just telling the poors how to spend less on food and vacations. Why don't you do some actual hard hitting reporting on how we can fix this damned mess trump and his cronies( like you)have thrown us into! Stop pretending this shit is normal!

The misery seen in the grocery stores is no longer by the underpaid workers required to constantly stock the shelves with daily and every other day deliveries. Customers look tense. Also theft is up on discretionary and impulse items they can no longer afford.

Disgusting defense of religious “leaders” holding a religious dedication service to that gold statue of him. This is the kind of stuff that the elite hucksters making millions in these new churches are willing to justify as a club feature for those spending $250,000 a year for membership there.

Look at the correlation between HUGE oil shorts and PedoPINO Trump's "War Lie of the Week" every week. Who is making those hundreds of billions, and who is (essentially) PAYING for it?

But we can spend a billion dollars a day just to get those gas prices even higher. And another billion dollars for an egotist's ballroom. Fuck America. Donnie-boy is the only one that matters.

This is why we NEED to amend the Constitution in a big way. We're working on a broad, sweeping reform amendment that: - Gets all money out of politics - Protects voting and human rights - Bans gerrymandering - Sets term limits And much more. Full text drops July 4th. Follow us and stay tuned!

I was 3 when 9/11 happened, 10 when the subprime mortgage crisis hit, 22 when Covid broke out and now I’m in late 20s costing through yet another Trump presidency threatening to gut America far more than most people thought was possible. The bar is set so low its next to fucking dinosaur bones.

We need to remember that all of this is solely and only first felon’s fault. There was no problem in the straight of Hormuz before he decided to create another distraction to save his old orange ass from prison. The worst of the worst. 8647. Impeach, convict, remove, imprison.

Liar Trump, who bullies his sycophantic staff to do his bidding and lies to everyone, was led into a war on Iran – a war he called an 'excursion' –by warmongering Israeli criminal Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. Trump doesn't care about American soldiers dying or his destruction of America's economy.

From $2.79 before Iran to $4.59 yesterday. Reports that tankers which move very slowly aren’t even delivering oil to refineries and stories about gas rationing are cropping up.

I really wish that the countries unite and sue Trump for making our lives so much more expensive with an illegal war. There are now people who can't afford commuting because of his inability to constrain himself.

Wait so now you're trying to tell us that putting a 30-year self-proclaimed billionaire who lied to get on your list for decades and then after getting into the White House finally actually became a billionaire is bad for the economy? The guy who bankrupted three casinos and would have more wealth

If he had just taken his inheritance and put it into mutual funds is bad for the economy? The guy who's had more bankruptcies than I can count on both my hands and has put those on the backs of the American taxpayer is bad for the American economy? Holy shit who could have thought? Forbes, you SUCK

The American taxpayers will be stuck paying for all of the corrupt things Trump and the Republicans are doing. When the national debt hits 40 trillion dollars they will come for Social Security. They will say, we don't want to, but what choice do we have?

Which means that consumers are not positive about Trump no matter what he does. He's proven that he sucks when it comes to improving jobs, economy overall, or controlling prices. He's only a success to the stock market which he and his friends are making loads of money off of.

3/ Americans were promised stability and prosperity. Instead they got endless foreign entanglements, economic anxiety, and another transfer of wealth away from the middle class. The public is paying the price for policies they never voted for.

2/ Families are now being crushed at the pump, at the grocery store, and through rising monthly bills — while political elites and defense contractors remain insulated from the economic pain their decisions helped create.

1/ The Iran war is becoming another catastrophic policy failure paid for by ordinary Americans. Gas prices are exploding, inflation is surging again, and supply chains are starting to fracture while Washington insists everything is “under control.”

Because corporations won’t lower prices unless they’re forced, and Trump’s pedo-protecting republicans won’t pass laws that help people or put billionaires in check. The GOP scared voters into buying guns and promised affordability, what do they think will happen when their kids start starving?

I live in a very rural/maga area in the southeast and have been putting those Trump "I did that" stickers on every pump I stop at and all the pumps at that gas station. You can order them on line. Plant those seeds people.

BIDEN shut down U.S. oil production, oil production has fallen under his tenure Biden did issue an executive order his first month in office that paused new oil and gas lease sales Biden’s orders direct the secretary of the Interior Department to halt new oil www.cnbc.com/2021/01/27/b...

cnbc.comBiden suspends oil and gas leasing in slew of executive actions on climate changeBiden's orders will halt oil and natural gas leases on public lands and waters in an effort to curb planet-warming carbon emissions.

Pretty stupid to lie about something that people can fact-check weekly from their direct personal experience. And when (if?) the Strait opens, prices are NOT going to "drop like a rock" (as Trump said) and that will be noticeable, too.

Consumers feeling “buffeted” by rising costs brought on by the trump Iran Oil war, Should start Actively Boycotting High price Gouging Oil companies close Price Goughing Gas Stations including “soaring prices at the pump.” They work by Volume Stop buying over priced Gas

Fortunately, I work from home and most of the places I go to are literally within walking distance. My wife drives many places, but I cannot remember the last time I bought gas.

I’d argue profit is the point. Every action is to put more money in the pockets of Trump and Trump enablers.

Middle Eastern petroleum will remain high until the US citizens (not government) pay off all the infrastructure damage to multiple countries. Meanwhile, the Signal using gamblers of DC will walk away rich.

According to trumps economic numbers wages still out pace inflation i say bullshit, new jobs created over 100k but the news only showed 2 categories that grew with a total of 50k where were the rest created? Unemployment still 4.3 didn't go down.

474 days are people finally paying attention? Murder by the Gestapo did not! Starting a war! Piracy did not! Cutting health care so the convicted felon could gold (First time either) did not!Losing respect and trust fro the world did not! Now Prices are up to stay!

Soarring prices at the pump is shorthand for a tax on everything delivered by truck, plane or ship. Guess who will pay? Guess who will reap the profit. Guess which voter demographic will whine 'We never voted for this'.

Going into even more debt just to get gas and groceries is more than being "buffeted." I feel rage. I feel rage at all of the ways our current administration is fucking us over. We all know it. We all feel it.

MAGA will follow this administration blindly no questions asked. They will suffer right along with the rest of us All to "own the libs" Trump gave these ppl the free range to be there true authentic selves, your seeing it play out in real time.... I truly hate this timeline.

I’ll explain it this way. During the Biden presidency I had to cancel Netflix. $25ish a month was too much on top of the other rising costs of food, etc. Due to the Iran war, gas has gone up (reached 150% of its pre war price, for those that like Trump math). To me that equals $60 extra dollars

…of monthly fuel costs JUST to get to work and back. I have to buy the equivalent of 2 Netflix subscriptions for the privilege of working in this Trump economy. And I still don’t get the benefit of watching Netflix.

Relax! Trump says everything is great, war is over, petrol is getting cheaper, your personal circumstances are improving…What he really means is: he has so much contempt for the average American that he lies in their faces and demands they ignore the evidence of what they see

The rising prices have been brought on by a corrupt Republican Regime who have wholly unqualified entities sitting in big boy seats, making decisions that affect the US and the world. These people should not be in responsible authority to pick up trash or clean toilets. Republicans are Low IQ.

Bitches please, the rest of the world has even higher prices. in Canada we were already at 8+ a gallon for regular, plus what we are seeing is more insider trading. The entire world has been on the brink because of a bunch of stupid people and undecided voters.

Funny you show Chevron. In California, Gavin sent out a message to all of us not to fill up at their stations. They've consistently gouged Californians with their gas prices. This Memorial Day, boycott Chevron, no matter what state you're in!

Why don’t the U.S. consumers do something about it? Consumers worldwide are suffering because of the moronic actions of the U.S. president, but we are helpless. You are not. Get rid of him, jail him ideally.

The supplies of jet fuel are now within days of depletion to levels where flight cancellations will become the rule and not the exception. Welcome to New Russia. Take a train, if one is running. Or, walk and get some exercise like this dotard.
