That is true regarding the electoral situation, but it is disturbing that the GOP is still going hysterical over lab-leak and anti-vaccine conspiracy theories. Anti-vaccine conspiracy theories kill people, and anti-science madness is being used to justify defunding scientific research in the US.

trump also downplayed it for months in the earliest stages when some of its effects could have been minimized. Despite Operation Warp Speed his rhetoric continued to downplay its severity and his rhetoric also promoted anti-vax notions.
