Proof that republicans are stupid.

You're not wrong, but in my opinion the real blame lies with the Republican leadership that feeds these voters the lies and hatred that results in these attitudes. It's no secret that many US citizens hold racist and xenophobic views, but our leaders don't have to fan those flames.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'd answer this. The question is about Canadians relationship with the United States. It's pretty clear that the US as an entity, under Trump's leadership, is unfriendly to Canada and vice versa. So if you mean that rather than how do people think of each other, well...

as a long time campaign guy I can tell you that many of us argue for exactly this all the time and we get drowned out by people who really think that compromise for its own sake shows that they are mature adults.

Oh, I would add that many are traitors to our country, and are racist, bigoted, misogynistic, corrupt, xenophobic, violent, and flat-out stupid. That's the lesson I draw. And remember folks, this applies to about one-third of Americans!
