genuinely says so much about what twitter has become that the biggest rightwing grift accounts pushing US fascist narratives aren’t real people and not even close to the united states

Genuinely surprised that anyone did not know this already lol. Like so many of those greek statue pfp RETVRN accounts being from india was known before.

It's totally artificial, and with how american city planning and walkability is structured it's most people's only or primary exposure to the larger world and that is pretty scary to like, consider the consequences of.

Americans just have no primary source of information to build their perspective on the state of the world, or even a reliable unbiased secondary source, it's all just word of mouth heresay or opaque (in terms of their backing interests) podcasts, news sites, and social media platforms

ALSO that right wing conservatism is not a political ideology but just personality cult after personality cult To be republican or conservatism is to live and die by fear. And to utterly lack a of theory of mind.

I mean, twitter was never good in the same way that every online community had latent white supremacist bed bugs. People are suddenly surprised that a site that stopped spraying for bed bugs is now importing migrant bedbug labor and taking their job of being a terrible poster

Now do left wing accounts. And I say that as someone dedicated to defeating the regime and making America normal(ish) again. I always harbor deep suspicions when I see posts trying to drive single issue politics on the far left. I absolutely believe some of those exist solely to divide the left.

It says a lot about the hopelessness of the situation that so many non-MAGA people continue to use twitter as a news sharing media, despite knowing that it's a bot-infested Nazi propaganda tool using algorithms to manipulate them while stealing their content for its Nazi propaganda AI

Follows from all of the weird, Canadian reactionary grifters that end up making their mark in the US, as there's not as lucretive of a foothold for it here. I wouldn't be shocked if that isn't some of the Twitter issue: if they tried talking about their own countries like that, it wouldn't pay.
