There should have been consequences for everyone. What’s wrong with demanding (like South Koreans did) that LEADERS be held accountable? Congress should have been purged. Trump should have been barred from holding ANY office. They ALL tried to overthrow the government!!! Americans we messed up.

When we restore our democracy, we need to amend the Constitution to have mechanisms to quickly enact accountability such as many European democracies have. We are living through the consequences of believing all politicians will be honorable and follow political and judicial norms.

Our laws need to amended to include: Those who take up arms against the USA, or who willfully plan, participate in, cause an insurrection, cannot be pardoned by a sitting president or any official of the Executive Branch | Congress | SCOTUS.

It's not the first time a January 6th rioter pardoned by Trump has been re-arrested for crimes. They didn't face any real punishment the first time they broke the law. Why wouldn't they do it again!

What is not shocking is that Trump will pardon him. So an arrest will not make any difference. Just like Trump having his own lawyers in the department of justice so that he can get $230 million for himself. And his charity comments, I don’t believe that either.

One of the few positive outcomes from Jan 6th is that those violent and dangerous dimwits took selfies of themselves breaking several federal laws, helping law enforcement to lock them up. Pardons let the crazies out, but they are as much a danger to themselves, and to Republicans, as to Democrats.
