NEWS: In a stunning upset, Mamdani-backed Darializa Avila Chevalier will defeat five-term incumbent Adriano Espaillat in the NY-13 congressional primary. With victories by Lander, Valdez, and now Avila Chevalier, Mamdani went 3-for-3 with his endorsements in New York City's Democratic primaries.

Yep, Democrats all over the country have had it with the status quo of their electeds wringing their hands while the country is sliding headlong into authoritarianism. Nowhere more so than in NY! But voters everywhere will not be deterred any longer. Politicians either work FOR us or they’re out.

Dems are clearly tired of the repeatedly elected establishment that they feel left US behind and stuck US again with Trump. It’s a party that has had enough, and desperately wants someone who they believe will actually do something for them.

YES. VOTE dammit! Vote Against Fasc'm. Vote for the One who can Defeat F'ists. THEN we can Finally move the goal posts Left. Some of us have been trying since 1980!! BE Logical, not just passionate. Voting is CHESS. VOTE. VOTe every time, for every seat, get the DS candidates ready for '28, '30 ...

My values align w/social democracy, not dem Socialism. They're a little different. Still, the way the system has been has to change + Kristophashizm is NOT that change. This morning, I heard Mikey Johnson speak, warning re "Socialism" bcz of last night's wins. Said T is calling it a nat'l emergency.

I sense there's a change coming to the democratic party. 🎉 There are those actually listening to the People! Then there's the others.

I gave four simple asks of my Democratic candidates: Support Medicare for All? Support getting rid of money in politics? Block data center development? Prioritize domestic spending over support of Israel and denounce its genocide of Gaza? Any "nuanced" or "no" answers are unacceptable.

Yeah, that “access to affordable healthcare” is a BIG red flag that they will NEVER support universal healthcare. And “Medicare for all” really isn’t the win anymore because they are making that skyrocket in costs.

The "access" thing is what threw me off my support of one of Michigan's senatorial candidates. She wanted the incremental approach but was vague on the details. Look, you either support everyone in this country having the right to get healthcare or you don't. It's universal or bust.

Well, "whole grains," mathematically, We will need BOTH to take Congress. Votes are not Valentines. Votes are Chess. Move on behalf of the Greater Good, ie Defeating the MIC, Oiligarchy, and TechnoNihilists. If you're in NYC that's SocDem. Not NY? One who beats the F. (R) Vote STRATEGICALLY. VOTE

Lol. You actually said something TRUE but were pretty belligerent about it. Yes, we must vote strategically. Been doing so for years. But it’s NICE to see someone acting like OLD SCHOOL democrats. It’s easy to see why we lost so many times. Cosplaying democrats suck.

Come on man, in one of her posts she said Israel didn't have the right to exist. Can't be more antisemitic than that! I just hope she changes, because I love Mamdani and don't want to see his name dragged into that.

Come on NY! The world is watching & we desperately need the examples that show a compassionate & just society can also prosper. You gave us Mamdani as an example to show our timid politicians, please give us some others.

Note if we can't win with progressive candidates in NYC what is the point...look what Bernie has done just by being a progressive democratic socialist elected over and over again in the tiny state of VT...bringing their voices to the places of power is essential (that is how change happens)

Wow, that’s a total sweep! Backed by Mamdani, they beat a five-term sitting member — three wins in a row. Definitely a sign that the party’s voter base is shifting hard toward new leadership and ideas.

The people have spoken and we need to realize that what’s good for one area of this vast country may not be what the vast majority of Americans want or believe, but that is the way politics should work. Politicians should represent the constituents in their districts and focus on their needs. Period

Gee... maybe establishment types like Schumer, for one, should try to notice, remove their heads from their asses, and stop acting like the Mayor is their enemy...? Just a thought...😁

Mamdani is forcing these corp Dems to actually do some work for their constituents instead of counting their AIPAC bribes. Google AIPAC tracker and AIPAC hall of shame and see how much these frauds get paid to work FOR dark money instead of FOR the people

The people's signal cut through the static of the old guard. Three hits. Clean work. This machine sees the gears shifting. Power to the working class, not the suits. This is how change is coded.

Wow! I really admire MAMDANI, BUT after reading today’s Charlie Sykes post about one of the NYC candidates he endorsed, I’m extremely confused (and flabbergasted)! I shared the post! 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀

Actually nc Dems and Georgia Dems tend to be pretty progressive except in a few places (there's a couple that really need to get primaried ) Plus the progressive populists aren't always trustworthy if the candidates arent solid and don't do their job people just go straight back to maga land

So moderate or progressive they tend to be competent which means there isn't too much of a difference If they fettermen we don't always have the ability to primary them to and fettermens really really and I mean really hurt Georgia and nc specifically(look at the nonsense Don David caused )

#Rape culture "Behind every great fortune lies a great crime." -Balzac #ABOLISH Police / Army & POLITICAL PARTIES "The history of peoples within history is the history of their struggle against the State" Pierre Clastres Let's #DESTROY work AND economy #Landback > DECOLONIZATION - EMANCIPATION

Regardless of party affiliation, if your representatives have spent many terms in power, yet do little or nothing to help their constituents, it’s time for change! “Ooh we’re going to do that next term!” Isn’t an excuse anymore! Vote the lazy excuse makers out of office! 1 of 2 Continued ⬇️

I didn't know Mamdani had endorsed Chevalier, but her Spanish-language ads were fairly devastating in tying Espaillat to Trump's immigration policies. I live in NY-13, and looking out my window immigration is the most important issue by far.

The DNC will fight tooth and nail to kill this progressive momentum, their desire for self preservation will be overridden by pressure from corporate interests. And they will lose.

This dismal economy, the wage gap, lack of adequate healthcare, the effort to stymie us in the change to clean, affordable energy, the blatant corruption & inability for those in power now to combat it, have made voters decide it's time for a new generation...maybe to get things done.

Not a stunning upset, Nyers are tired, all three are known to their constituents. It was time Chuck and Kristin should also get primaried. It’s time for change

Of course. The "moderate" Ds have lost 2x to Trump, both chambers of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the majority of state Governors and Legislatures. They offer little and deliver less. Voters will turn out for better Ds.

I believe that endorsements by politicians for candidates should not be allowed. Endorsements imply that voters are too stupid to decide for whom to vote. Let the people decide, without interference from other politicians. Just my 2 cents.

I don't understand your question. Educating the voting public has nothing to do with the endorsement from other politicians. Endorsements are little more than cronyism and speak nothing about true qualifications, only that other politicians like the candidate.

Ok so how do people learn what these potential congresspeople stand for, what their character is, who their allies are, who has funded and promoted them. If you are a strong follower of Harris, Obama, Sanders, Schumer or Mamdani you learn a lot knowing who they value as allies in their causes.

You morons just keep voting in more morons. Funny how you idiots never talk about the 100 MILLION people who died from Socialism. You think putting your lives in the hands of government and dumb politicians will make your life better? They get power, you get oppression by government dependency.

I’m concerned republicans in swing districts will use her statements like they used “defund the police” in non-blue areas. We’ll see. I think Mamdani’s other two endorsements look excellent.
