ATTN GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES: The VA sent out an announcement with a link for employees to self-report their disabilities. I wouldn’t do this if I were you. They’ll likely use it to discriminate against you.

The point here is they can fire you if you don't tell them, because it's justified as lying or withholding information which often violates policies. And yes, it's a very real problem with this administration and throughout this country. PoD's like myself fall victim of these practices frequently.

I’m hard of hearing and when working-I did report it on applications. I never received a single accommodation from any employer, but I think my employers gained a tax credit for hiring me.

If I still worked for the VA, I would never self report any disabilities. Also in the five years I worked for the VA there was never a biannual, or even annual campaign to identify disabilities.

'Having any black or brown people in government jobs is DEI; having any women in government jobs is DEI; having any people with disabilities in government jobs is DEI'----Trumpites How they think they're going to get an all-white-male-Christian-straight-non-disabled workforce is the real mystery.

There are only ~70 million abled, cishet, working-age white men in the whole country, and about 150 million jobs. There's no way whatsoever they can fill even just the high-paying and military jobs with only those guys.

It seems like they're alright turning the United States' economy into a gas station like Russia, so long as the gas station only employs rightwing white men and expendable ethnic tokens who swear fealty to them. They won't have trouble finding rightwing white men in such a severely reduced economy.

"please enter only your primary disability. if you have more than one disability, only enter your primary disability here. then contact the disability database administrator at bigballs@va.gov to update your secondary disabilities."

Employees with disabilities are frequently conflicted about disclosing same. On one hand, you can't get an accommodation to which you may be legally entitled unless you self-identify. On other hand, you risk discrimination. But if you already have a job, in theory the risk is lower to self-report.

If people are currently, or have recently been employed by the federal government, the government already has all the information they need and are required to obtain. Don't give up your identity when you're not required to.

The VA issues disability checks based on conditions already documented in their computer systems for many of their employees. So for disabled veterans employed by the VA it's not like they can hide their disabilities. However, I suppose they don't need to make it any easier for these goons.

The red flag for me is "biannual". Why would an employer need that information EVER, much less 2x/year? Plus, Doug Collins is an @ss who campaigned for the US House years as a military chaplain 🙄 and, now, in this regime, he's gutting the services veterans were promised.

A lawyer says “Once you are hired, your employer is allowed to ask if you have a disability…they may ask this question in the context of providing you with reasonable accommodations to perform your job.” www.clarkemploymentlaw.com/blog/can-an-...

clarkemploymentlaw.com2025 Can an Employer Ask for Proof of Disability in California? Can an Employer Ask for Proof of Disability in California? It is illegal for a potential employer to ask, “do you have a disability?”

They likely can ask you to self-report if you want to. They can't require you to say you do or don't have a disability. I had to ask for a few accommodations in my job. It seems unusual. My school district asked if people wanted to declare minority status. They wanted more minorities.

Well, they are asking you to self report, so technically they aren’t asking. You’re telling. Soooo, don’t do it. In the immortal words of Boz Scaggs, “Danger there’s a breakdown dead ahead …”

Discriminate hell, they intend to carry out that exact same shit Hitler did! WAKE THE FUCK UP, PEOPLE!! Are you so deluded that you actually think these fucks plan to be kind to anyone?!

It seems legit outside of the unprofessional 2nd line spacing, it does leave a few questions. If a person has 2 or more = disabilities, all have to be accommodated there is no pick or choose, vets. didn't choose to be disabled. What is Microsoft a private company involvement and why?

If you don’t report something now and later try to, can they use the lack of reporting now as evidence that the disability is unrelated to your military service?

I would say this is illegal (ADA), If they fire for reporting, but most of what this administration does is illegal. It's crappy that individuals with disabilities have the right to accommodations and yet this is likely a trick. It's another game that will mess with people's work.

Hitler’s main target were Jews. But he also targeted Roma people (Gypsies) and other minorities. As well those with physical and mental disabilities. Also had a campaign to increase births, in married and unmarried women who had favored genetics. The Fourth Reich is here.

This is coming from the same government that wanted hospitals to turn over lists of people receiving care for autism. You know who else wanted to eradicate people with disabilities..the Nazis, of course.

I self identified when I became a fed under Obama. That info was used against not long after T came into office. I needed a remote work temp accommodation during a bone infection, the first time I’d ever requested an accommodation. The retaliation was unreal. I’m sure it’s worse now.

Adding on to this to say that at the end of the guy’s last term, they cold called myself and lots of other women who suffered from MST. To do some kind of conference call about their supposed support. I got the call as I was walking into work & hung up. Not only are they corrupt. They are tone deaf.

Just about every job application I’ve filled out asks for this. Even though these are not government jobs, I answer no every time. But with this regime, prospective govt employees should definitely answer no.

If it's not visually noticeable, don't do it! Especially if there is a mental health disability of any kind! They are looking for a reason to PURGE!

If they want to foster an environment where people feel safe to self-report... yeah it's not happening in today's environment, let's put it that way. You'll need to get rid of the current government and make sure this can never happen again. Then people might feel safe.

If they say they have mental health problems they better be careful...Kegseth can blame them for blowing up what they want to be 'drug boats'. This will be after they say President Biden did it!
