So I'm reviewing a PR from a colleague that was written for like 95% by AI, and while it might have made his job easier, it's making mine a lot harder because it's riddled with mistakes and issues that I have to now fix, and I feel like I have to thoroughly check every single line of code twice

Even the PR description was (initially) written by AI. It was immediately recognizable, and it immediately made me not want to read the text. I asked them to rewrite it themself (and even then I suspect they were still using AI for it)

If you don't want to write it, I don't want to read it. Using AI is a choice, but taking responsibility is not.

Why do you have to fix it? It's their PR? Stop after the fifth slop and tell them to review, label blocked, move on. Be efficient with your time, it's valuable.

Where usually you can kind of more cursory review the code and trust and rely on the intelligence of a human who knows what they're doing (e.g.: "Yep, I don't need to dive into the nitty gritty but this seems about right and what it needs to be doing"), you just can't trust this code
