First they came for the Hamasniks and, like, tough for them.

BASH: What is the ADL doing to pressure the White House to give students who are being arrested due process? GREENBLATT: We're not sort of public defenders for some of the Hamasniks on these college campuses, and I don't want to be

If you are going to make a point post the full interview. While I don’t agree with the use of the term he is actually not saying what you claim he is stating and he made it clear due process is needed, freedom of speech is protected for all and acts of violence need to be investigated.

"Hamasnik". What exactly is that? Does criticism of Netanyahu's crimes make someone a "Hamasnik". Jews should know better than to use reductionist generalizations. No other groups should suffer the privations that they have suffered.

This is like asking the Jews in Germany in the 1930s to be worried about the civil rights of Nazis. The ADL supports the right to due process but don’t ask them to advocate for those who deny them due process in a heartbeat.

This seems to be the great clash between authoritarian impulses based on Israeli propaganda and the actual interests of diaspora Jews to safety and security. Of course, propaganda methods used by Israel can one day be used against Israel too.

It shouldn’t have taken the ADL’s allying with Trump - right at the moment almost everyone else gave up on Trump’s ever being on the right side of history - to destroy what was left of the ADL’s credibility, but I’ll take it. The ADL should admit defaming certain people is ok & they might join in.

How trivial would it be to defend the Tufts woman who was not remotely anti-Semitic. But criticized Israel. How much credit would they win for defending her? It’s also the right thing to do. But I guess like the Regime, its mask off time. These people are part of the fascism.

Due process is just that… a process by which the prosecution and the defense present their evidence to charges… anything else is a crime (kidnapping, torture, fraud, terrorism…)! DUE PROCESS IS AVERY BIG DEAL IN MAINTAINING LAW AND ORDER!

Help me out here not snarky in the least. Does never again mean never to Jews but f*ck everyone else? Serious question. I had (operative word had) a friend, rabid Trumpster, born in Israel, raised in US. She would sit across the table from me for years spouting "never again." Like, wut even is that?

No. That's not what it means. It means Never Again for anyone. Or at least that's what I was taught. Please know that 70% of American Jews voted for Harris and do not share the views of your rabid Trumpster friend. Honestly, I'm embarrassed when I hear shit like this.

6th Amendment right “to be confronted with the witnesses against him” 5th Amendment no one “be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” 14th Amendment no state “deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” US Constitution & Bill of Rights

This is exactly why we must stand against these overreaching actions. Everyone, regardless of their background, deserves due process and the protection of their rights. The right to due process isn’t just a privilege—it’s a fundamental part of justice. #DueProcess #HumanRights

ADL fights antisemitism, “and all forms of hate based discrimination against individuals and groups.” Antisemitism is at the top of their list, that’s really all they do.

Comments like this will only inflame anti-Semitism. Shame on you, ADL, and shame on the Jews and the Jewish organization that promote this divisiveness. It will come back to bite us. Hard. And it's simply immoral. AsaJew, I will miss this Pope and hope that Jews will emulate his teachings.

Israel are fighting for their lives. If they can't control the political space in Washington they're finished as they cannot exist without the US. Seemingly minor expressions of free speech poses a danger because it undermines the myth of universal support for Israel and with it Israel's control.

Wow, ADL doing the full-on, "I Got My Rights, so f@(k you!" Now they are like... "First they came for Unionists and I did not speak out. Then they came for Hamas, and I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews...and...oh...wait..."

He said this “Due Process thing” Due process is following the rule of constitutional law. His interest as ADL leader as he says is to protect Jewish people that’s absolutely fine but the constitution applies to ALL people on US land regardless of religion. That’s what makes our country exceptional.

Is Greenblat unaware that the greatest protection for Jews in America is the set of values and procedures that protect everyone and when that gets removed the day will come when his supposed friends turn on the Jewish community?
