I'd say that if everything is a top priority, then you've been routinely neglecting things, or everything is going to be done poorly.

Every requirement is a P0

Yeah, let's promote all processes to rt. Works wonders on *nix too.

the mythical manager month

Gotta get it done fast, not well. Quality is for losers

It's not due *now*, I'm not a monster. I'd just like it ASAP.

Tech debt is important, but it's not a top priority. You wouldn't not a top priority, would you? 🙂‍↕️

I saw the update yesterday ! :)

Also, multitasking is real. Just put all tickets into "In Progress" at the same time.

When everything's a priority, nothing is a priority.

@jcsalterego.bsky.social i think someone wants your title as official bsky shitposter

Yes 25 things can be done simultaneously with the same quality and speed

I've seen that being applied unironically quite a few times in real life oh the memories 😭

Have you just been watching Plur1bus?

a file manager in an OS is... kinda 'EVERYTHING' juss sayin

I'm more of a "If everything is important, than nothing is" kinda guy.

I think that's not how it really works...

Duh! It’s the only way to ensure that everything is above average

Taking ownership with your bias for action!

🥲🥲🥲

if it weren't top priority, they wouldn't put you on it, that's basic leadership.

Checkmate, Mr Gantt!

I dedicate your post to the PMs of my previous project.

a tl;dv sketch

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

booo

@pfrazee.com "In a society in which nothing is permitted everything is permitted"

It's easy to prioritize when you have so many choices

Ah, but you see, I've upgraded to toppest priority.

Paul.

i wish i knew you then

If everything is TOP PRIORITY them that means I get to work on the things I *want* to from the list ;-)

Had a former manager like that, so we'd prioritize as 1a, 1b, 1c, etc... instead of 1,2,3 lol

At my work they say one thing is a "focus" but by the end of the meeting they've said the same about 30 other things until my vision is blurry trying to focus on everything at once.

Me: Do you want it done fast or well? Them: Yes.

At this rate, @pfrazee.com will be a certified scaled agile framework master in no time!

How many points to do _everything_?

Is it possible for everything to be a top priority?

i tell claude everything is P0

Urgency leads to better results with higher impact.

a top priority is deleting your account

delete your account

😬

Most will even do it in just one day

On average, they will

If things aren't getting done fast enough, just add more developers. Can I have an MBA now?

Ah, I see you’ve met my old boss.

time to introduce a higher priority level

I keep telling this to my reports and they keep replying with pitchforks and flaming torches. This means they believe in an honest days work that stretches into the evening thus requiring the light of the fire.
