my mother-in-law gets calls about that and loans pretty much 40 times a day (not exaggerating) and i have no idea how to even help with that besides offer to throw the phone in the trash

I can’t wait- 🤮 I get the “bank”is calling from some random location because they detect fraud on my frozen CC or there is a loan in my name and they will transfer me to “Experian” to fix it. Terrifying though they have lots of personal data already.

I got called by scammers a lot too. I learned that Facebook displays phone numbers to everyone on public profiles. I thought it would never end, but eventually it did. Now occasionally I get calls from abroad which are easy to ignore. I'm sorry you're going through this, I hope it will stop 🤞
