I live in Portland and if you think of violence it's about the farthest from it of any major city. You can walk around and cars will LITERALLY STOP to let you cross streets at times in downtown. The only ironic thing is protests usually get mixed with having support for Gaza, Ukraine and other/1

As a Boomer I was thinking about the 70s protests and how today's Resistance could use a few good protest songs. While exercising the other day I was introduced to a song I hadn't heard before and thought it would be a great protest song. It's called Instigators by Grace Potter.

Have friends in Portland. One volunteers her time at the hospital gift shop, and one volunteers his time training dogs. Just quiet people enjoying life. Trump hates having people happy because he is a miserable angry vindictive selfish person.

This is a non-violent, peaceful resistance, and that is powerful, but Portland law enforcement have to protect their rights and lock up any ICE agents breaking the law.

I participated in so many anti-war, pro-women’s rights, and civil rights protests in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s, that I can’t help but think that younger generations should be leading us by now. We’d still be involved, but c’mon! I’m tired!

I remember a "store" in Cottage Grove, about 20 miles south of Eugene, with an 8x10 inch sign on it that said "Old Stuff." Inside was a mind-bending collection of Grateful Dead and other hippie memorabilia, I am sure worth 10-20x the value now. My heart broke when the store closed, not...
