Where I live, I can go any polling place anywhere in the state and present a driver’s license. They will issue me a ballot based on my voting precinct. In order to purchase a firearm, I present two forms of ID, fill out an ATF form for each purchase and wait at least 15 minutes for approval.

Yup, 100%. I'm in Canada and I'm a legal gun owner. You have to get a license to buy a gun, and to get said license you have to pass a 12-hour police approved course (usually run over a weekend), and then pass a police background check. You HAVE to present your license when purchasing a firearm.

AND purchase insurance for any potential damage done by the gun.

I was really glad during the 2020 election we had no reason mail in voting. Last year was the first year of early voting. I would really hate to see that all disappear and folks have to stand in long lines.
