Learning curve my guy. Ur just starting out. Patience. No frustration. Be eager to learn every aspect. Then after u did that I’m eager to hear what u did with it. It’s ok to be original and not copy someone else’s style. Good luck.

Modular is my wallet's single greatest fear. Legit needed to block the intelligel website. Elecktron & TE on the other hand...

So far I've managed to avoid TE, mostly because of their price.... Elektron though! Cheap enough to buy, expensive enough to at least having to consider it for some hours. But then they look and sound so nice together with the rest, and then suddenly you sit with 6 of them on the table ✨

Don’t ask me what I used to do to my parents but think Radio Shack,Edmund’s Scientific, and other catalogues leading to my hovercraft design at 8 y/o! Ok it’s several decades later electronics rule except for “musk rat”’s hired lackeys enabling his bitch a$$!🤦🏼‍♀️💦💙🇺🇸

This is known as the Demo Suppression Field and is potentiated by the amount of embarrassment that is generated in a closed loop. The importance of the demonstration is also considered an accelerant and initiator. The method of prevention is the Trivial Conversation Technique applied liberally.

It was actually more just random beeps because i couldn’t get the filter sweeps tuned right while people were watching

Making random beeps is the whole point of a modular synth surely ;-))) Just tell them that in around 2 hours the sound would evolve to more random beeps but with a few extra farting noises added in.

there's a german word for that, Vorführeffekt (Presentation effect) Something works, until you show it to someone, then it just doesn't

😆I had a boss ask me once How come you stop working as soon as you see me🙀 I can't afford to have you watch me🤗 You somehow manage to fuck things up without even touching them, so I stop as you show up🤠

I'm so challenged by all the jobs on our little Behringer Moog come that I know i couldn't handle modular synth. Which is just as well. I think taking up heroin would be a less expensive addiction than modular synth.

Yeah, heroin definitely seems cheaper. I havent even gone “full” modular yet, just a couple moog semis and a keyboard that has compatible outputs

That picture gives me flashbacks as I used to be keyboard tech for a fairly famous 70's/80's prog rock band... Having to CV gate to midi convert.......This is his live set-up
