Can we give someone other than the usual IPC and public health failures an opportunity to actually do something about preventing COVID infections?
The apathy of the medical leaders who allowed COVID to become endemic so they can pretend it's not their fault is really starting to get old.
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1965: 20-1
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1
CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 325-to-1
Trickle-down economics was always a sham.
Nothing has ever trickled down.
Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order.
Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes!
Jack Smith: "History teaches that the rule of law is rarely destroyed all at once. It's often weakened by attacks on the institutions and the public servants sworn to uphold it. Since January 2025, we have witnessed precisely such an effort."
As if I couldn’t hate the orange felon more than I already do, over 60 trees which include historic Cherry Blossom trees were quietly cut down recently in Washington DC without court approval.
I’ll never forgive anyone who supports this monstrous hateful destructive criminal.
Just imagine if a President of the United States was an asset for Russia.
Now imagine that President bankrupts and steals from the country to give to oligarch’s.
And at the same time, completely depletes the military.
This is “just if” of course.
The surgical mask shown in this article will do almost nothing to reduce particulate inhalation because it's just a splash guard. Wear a well-fitted respirator N95 or better
Rebecca Archer’s infant daughter Renae contracted measles in 2013, before she was old enough to be vaccinated.
The baby recovered and all seemed well until ten years later, when tragically Renae developed SSPE and died.
SSPE is a rare, long-term consequence of measles.
TO RECAP:
Democrats finally fight back but follow the rules, ask voters to decide in a democracy, and get overruled by fascist trump judges.
Republicans do whatever they want and the Supreme Court rubber stamps it.
Why can’t Democrats do whatever the Republicans do?
Nope. Not a mistake.
A calculated strategy to cope with a lack of PPE is my most charitable interpretation…
Letting rip, in that context, was utterly evil.
"Children & young adults with long COVID with cardiovascular symptoms display increased microclots, endothelial injury, & neutrophil inflammation, which warrant further evaluation and suggest intravascular NETosis as key driver of endovascular pathology in long COVID"

When the birthright citizenship decision comes out, people will say it could never have gone any other way, that the law was obvious. But the mere fact that SCOTUS took on the case is evidence enough that we are living in a time of democratic precarity.
The Department of Justice has sued 30 states and DC for access to their unreacted sensitive voter data. My law firm is fighting them in all 30 cases.
We are dedicating so many resources because these are the most important legal fights and the future of free and fair elections is at stake.
COVID pandemic enters 7th year with no end in sight.
"It's strange to think that the COVID-19 pandemic, which sent the world into lockdown 7 years ago never ended. It continues to kill and cripple us, to this day. We simply stopped talking about it."

I just can't with this shit.
Many of the children who were 4 in September 2024 were in utero during 'lockdown'.
It's the COVID, not the prevention of COVID, damaging children FOUR YEARS AFTER LOCKDOWN you utter jackasses.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.
I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.
I'm #oneofthetwo that Jon Stewart from @weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social mocked for still wearing a mask in public places in 2025. I guess he's never heard of immunocompromised people like me... or disabled people like my wife... or people with #LongCovid... or people who simply care about others...
This reminded me why I had stopped watching Stewart years and years ago. When you make fun of maskers, you're saying their life, or the lives of those going through some *REAL SHIT* who they are protecting means nothing to you.
At least it's an obvious red flag.
#oneofthetwo
Disappointed to see Jon Stewart & co joke about masking in public. I do it for my medically fragile daughter (Batten Disease). People not masking properly led to her getting pneumonia, which led to her being on life support, which led to me getting price quotes on her cremation just in case.

🧵I’ve never had someone explain to me what their problem is with mask-wearing. It usually seems to amount to: “I don’t like it!” In effect, they take it as some sort of personal indictment—where our action becomes a criticism of their inaction. So, basically, 100% their own bullshit
Hey Jon Stewart @weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social I‘m #oneofthetwo still masking because a mild covid infection in 2022 has had devastating effects on my health. Hope to see you talk to a #longcovid#me/cfs expert on your show soon.
#OneOfTheTwo Jon Stewart mocked for masking.
Hey Jon @weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social, is #OneOfTheTwo or both of them in the room with you right now? Can you pls tell them, I'd like to apologize for #MockingJon Stuart's extremely immature behaviour?
I mask because I care.
#OneOfTheTwo still masking
Thanks to consistent wearing of N95 or KN95 mask, I have not had any communicable illness since March 2020. This has improved my chronic illness baseline and enabled me to enjoy the outdoors with fewer allergy and asthma issues. I only wish I’d known to wear them sooner.
I'm also #OneOfTheTwo people Jon Stewart mocked. I mask for many reasons, I have moderate asthma, and allergies can trigger it, as can smog and wood smoke, and also because my mom here can't mask due to her disabilities and I want to make sure she stays breathing and alive as long as possible <3
#OneoftheTwo imagine mocking cancer survivors for masking. I’m a cancer survivor who is immunocompromised, and got long covid after my first infection. Covid is especially dangerous for people with cancer and who have had cancer and I would rather protect my already damaged immune system.
#OneOfTheTwo right here. Got covid-19 in late 2019, developed #LongCovid and ended up disabled. Just over a year ago I got my 2nd infection from an Immunologist who wouldn't mask. That infection caused me to literally waist away quickly. @weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social Jon, you should know better.
