And have lots of investigations. Constantly drag them before committees and what not. Make them be bogged down in that or have to brazenly defy congress without their little buddy in charge.

I had a student who drew a perfect slurpie cup on the desk in detention. The teacher asked me what she should do. Told her I'd take care of it. Had him promise not to draw on desks. Then I paid him (with mom's approval) to illustrate a children's book I wrote.

I've said this before but the most trouble I ever got in at school was when i left a notebook full of doodles in the classroom of my uptight math teacher. They called my mom because I drew a goth girl with no pupils wearing a "TEIN" shirt, wanting an explanation of whether that was a gang symbol

LC von Hessen 𓆙 💀@lcvonhessen.bsky.social

So the "advice" doled out in this column makes me INCREDIBLY fucking angry as a former kid who was repeatedly taken to task by teachers for "inappropriate" drawings, culminating in a 9th-grade suspension spurred by Columbine paranoia and residual Satanic Panic. Arionne here says that was JUSTIFIED.

Trump, Bolsonaro, Netanyahu, Orban, Miele, Bukele and every other far right shithead should be in the same prison. Rebuild Spandau and toss them in there.

Bolosonaro is being investigated for being on honest to God Brazilian crime lord who was running to do for him and his crime family what our President did for his, lost, then fled Brazil illegally, and if Dems aren’t running this story 24/7 for the next week they are leaving real votes on the table.

1. It will be a new Senate, so maybe the votes WILL be there! 2. Come on. Impeach this monstrously criminal president.

trans people can actually disagree with each other and doing so isn't rooted in transphobia. the idea that we have to be in lock step to "protect the community" or what the fuck ever is toxic as fuck.

I liked to draw dinosaurs eating each other in 3rd grade, and the school called my parents: my father pointed out to them that my drawings were 1. scientifically accurate and 2. they’d almost certainly NOT have been freaking out if I was AMAB. Anyway, this advice is terrible.

In any real country, this is prevented by rules called LAWS, and when people break those rules, it’s called a CRIME and they go to prison. It’s neat, America. You should try it.

How many times does history hour with Vladimir Putin have to happen before people realize that this obsession Russian leadership has with historiography of the region and how it relates to the Russian national mythos is something fundamental to their worldview

"The votes aren't there" is cowardice masked as savviness. There has to be accountability for their crimes. The House has a duty to make the case here and if some GOP senators want to weasel out, make them own that vote. Don't let pundits and "strategists" talk you out of doing your damn job.

Politics is the art of forcing the votes "there." You do that by ratcheting up the pressure through relentless accountability.

If you are supporting reforms on climate grounds it means that you are **against something** :coal and gas That means you want to oppose and *dismantle* the power tech that makes up nearly 60% of the grid. We must unlearn the deception that public funds "come from" taxes. The truth is that taxes are public collections of private funds created by private banks using credit that they were granted BY THE PUBLIC. To demand full funding of all basic needs, organized majorities must understand this fact.
