i think it just didn’t let me do it that far out and I didn’t think to do it again and I’m sure I had it on a post it note to request the exam before I moved. anyway. i can’t see any resolution other than [redacted]

If the real priority was actually protecting girls from actual men who pose a risk to them in sports, it would make much more sense to advocate for banning male coaches and male doctors. And I’ve never, ever ever heard that suggestion, because that’s not really what this is about.

Samantha Brennan@samanthabrennan.bsky.social

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

acab and also this is the result of car-centric culture that vilifies people on bikes (and people outside of cars in general). politicians and policies that peddle these divisive narratives are as much to blame for the aggravation of violence toward your neighbours, paid for by your taxes!

Our First Nations traditional territory maps are progressing. We're likely a week away from completing our alpha build. This will replace the Native-Land.ca territory maps, which went offline earlier this year (though they have other maps still online). It'll go online at knowledgekeepr.com

This was a good reminder. One of the trustee candidates in my ward had the dog-whistle language about how schools are encouraging children to "keep secrets" from parents, which is code for queer/trans students and pronouns. Be aware of these assholes.

URGENT: As you prepare to vote in your municipal elections, please don't skirt the SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEE elections, even if you don't have children. Nowhere more than any other level, the schools board elections are targeted by far-right, anti-trans/anti-EDI lunatic candidates. Vote to keep them out!

yeah the "testosterone makes you angry and violent" idea hurts trans men but another big reason to push back on it is we are taught that so that we excuse cis mens actions (even subconsciously) bc we think it's just a result of their hormones and they can't control it

studying human anatomy makes me feel like i’m 13 years old graffiti-ing penises on a frosty window with my friends except this time they are anatomical cross section diagrams on post it notes

i think this is actually what they do in bottom surgery but the vulva really just is if the penis was a huge chode turned inside out so that the urethral endothelium is on the external surface of the body

there is a really great way to make a visual didactic of the homologous structures of external genitalia and it involves making a paper fortune teller

terrible weekend of breaking my streak in terms of everything (sleep, eating properly, doing Productive Shit) but i am AWARE and i will pull through bc final exam of hell course is friday

For construction: ✅ We need: easy ✅ We need: cheap ✅ We need: abundant ✅ We need: massively scalable ✅ We need: entirely sustainable Straw ticks every single box. Concrete obliterates our needs by removing humans from the planet - no housing required by 2100 if we keep concreting over our planet.

went to the autism strategy act rally w my mom and i have many things to say but the shorthand is that there was someone using puzzle piece imagery and maybe they don’t know but also that tells you something i think

most of the speakers were MLAs and whatever you expect politicians to say, they said. it’s kinda just annoying when you think about the autistic tendency to look at things in black and white. the NDP sucks and n*hanni is infamously a terrible person but it felt like this is just a political play lol

They glued it and gave me a tetanus booster and I'm fine. But as I was walking over, a firetruck was pulling up to literally the same corner as earlier. And this is what happens when the city keeps doing fucking drug sweeps and people don't know their supply. I'm so goddamn mad

We literally have the largest bike-touring event in the world which has been an annual summer state tradition for FIFTY YEARS. There's a giant exhibit in the state historical museum about it. This is comical.

has someone talked to noah redden regarding the “full-time transit safety team of cops and CSW” on his platform bc that is the big glaring thing that is preventing me from voting for him

can’t-afford-therapy skeet o’ the week: my brain is constantly screaming that if i do things to upset my family, god will smite them to get back at me and it will be all my fault so the kind thing to do would be to kms but that will also upset them (it’s like a negative feedback loop at least :D)

but even skeeting this is triggering it bc god knows everything and if i even think slightly not nice thoughts about my family they will d*e

Credit to Fred, he’s been to all the recent citywide meetings on road safety, and came to the bike Winnipeg city centre candidate ride even though he doesn’t bike (he got a ride in an urban arrow)

bruh the challenger candidate in Daniel Mac wants all-year 30km school zones and we haven’t gotten anything from Cindy Gilroy in terms of platform and surely the incumbent will keep her seat so I’m just … maybe ... gonna vote for the alternative …

cole’s notes on fred morris: was against opening portage and main (not good), transit-focused platform (good), wants to keep pools open (good), crime prevention includes input from community groups like bear clan (good) and police (not good), wants to bring erin/wall speed down to 50 (good)
