They glued it and gave me a tetanus booster and I'm fine. But as I was walking over, a firetruck was pulling up to literally the same corner as earlier. And this is what happens when the city keeps doing fucking drug sweeps and people don't know their supply. I'm so goddamn mad

I wrote about stroads in yesterday's @winnipegfreepress.co, particularly about how they impact my community of South Osborne. 🚗 🚗🚶🏼♀️ 🚲 🚗 🚗 Is Osborne a street or a road? ‘Stroad’ status fails everyone – Winnipeg Free Press share.google/v1ULvKbqHaDY...
Bookmarking this for my “anti-bike attitudes are fascism in the same ways that anti-trans and anti-immigrant politics are” mood board. People who bike are just another group of people to hate, and they need hate to grow.

Something to keep in mind when we read “x amount of Ontario/Toronto/x doesn’t approve of bike lanes”. When bad faith leadership gins up a culture war issue that has nothing to do w most people & barely affects others.

Great things are possible when community works together.
This is HUGE win for tenants in MB we have been organizing for since at least 2020. West Broadway Tenants Committee & @r2hmb.bsky.social tireless work: holding Kinew to account, building ally relationships, debunking landlord myths, organizing tenants - all of it made this happen #movementwins2026

Mattie pulling a Ron Awning/Kim Ross
Hmmm, you know what, Mattie? You're right. The rapidly spinning corpse of Scott Adams *IS* a viable source of free green energy in these uncertain times, a fact which only makes it spin faster. Please excuse me while I invest in copper wire. (but seriously this was GREAT)

It’s not just that this secondary grid doesn’t exist, but also that cyclists need to get to their actual destinations safely, which are generally on main streets, since we don’t allow businesses on side streets. And because main streets are much more dangerous, even more need for bike lanes there

It turns out that the best way to avoid being killed by drivers is to be protected by infrastructure.
