Israeli turnout now at 66.7% as of 6pm — up 9% on 2022 and the highest ever recorded in Israeli history. There are still four hours left of voting from 6pm.

In Brazil voting is mandatory, so the State must provide free transportation to all on election day. In at least 7 states, public transportation was sabotaged by a number of right wing prefectures resulting in potentially irreversible damages to Brazilian democracy.

Me too. Many commentators say that the Trump-Putin diesel deal is about the midterms, but it doesn't fit as a campaign strategy. It makes much more sense as a helping hand to Putin at the verge of Russia's winter campaign — with the aim of making winter more miserable for Ukrainians.

I'm not an expert on American electoral politics, but it's hard for me to understand how Trump's embrace of Putin— a leader who over 80% of Americans don't like—helps Republicans win more votes in November.

Beware of the framing though. No-one (not even the US ambassador) suggests that the EU plans to “block” starlink. The EU is not even suggesting to “restrict” starlink as the ambassador suggests. It just intends to reserve some spectrum to EU companies. #dramaqueen.

I have also reposted the graph earlier. However, "bot" refers to search engine and not social media bots in the context of cloudflare, so the post was misleading.

Rather unhelpfully, categorisation of "endangered", "threatened" etc, depends on relative population change. For "endangered" it's ~"population size reduction of ≥70% over the last 10 years or 3 generations". So if 2015 & 2025 counts show the same tiny number, it magically becomes "least concern".
