No shit Sherlock And that of course has nothing to do with senior politicians encouraging cookers on parliament's lawn who were advocating hangings of govt MPs No not gonna criticize those senior politicians www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

We're more scared of gangs in politics than billionaires in politics One is playing a massive role in shaping our world the other is not Climate destruction, poverty, price gouging, crumbling health & infrastructure Neoliberalism is the most aggressive gang to walk the earth #WealthTax #NZpol

Reminder: If voting didn't matter Luxon wouldnt be doing everything he can to make it harder for you to do it. He purposely chose a date he knew would be harder for most kiwis to vote.

While it rolls out lines about iPads, National's actual record is scrapping the 20 hours free ECE for two-year-olds it had already promised, cutting support funding by nearly 40%, and lifting the core subsidy just 2% in a year inflation ran at 4. #nzpol www.thepost.co.nz/politics/361...

These are political deaths caused by ideological commitment to austerity and privatisation. Responsibility not only falls on politicians, but also donors, media and economists who continue to promulgate myths about public and private debt and block much-needed change. www.rnz.co.nz/news/health/...

Maybe instead of querying knitting we could, I don’t know, query NZ First candidates spreading misinformation about abortion and, I don’t know, query NZ First about their policy positions, and I don’t know, ensure that those who think it’s okay to use their platform to do this are held to account.

There are lots and lots of children in every school who are struggling with learning, literacy and mental health because their language needs have not been identified. DLD needs far greater awareness. Be part of the change. Learn about Developmental Language Disorder at radld.org #DevLangDis

Light Vehicle users should not be cross subsidising heavy trucks that destroy our roads. Put all class 5 trucks on 100% cost recovery and HPMVs on 140%. Dont like it, then I suggest investing in rail, shipping and next ot both www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

the taxes line is fully locked in by National - wild (not wild) that media are moving in concert with them willis now claiming Labour want 9 new taxes following Luxon ruling out bed tax he proposed 2 weeks ago (but acc & fuel levies might still go up hehe) next to no focus on collapse of services

ACT is the party of morality. Only, they don’t know the Anglo-Saxon spelling rules well enough. Their entire policy set, based on small government and individual freedoms, is warped by a need to punish any sign of vulnerability.

‘Tax relief’ frame. It’s almost as though the people with wealth need special treatment, and can’t really cope with the burden of being grown ups. Can’t do life without support Weirdos needing special conditions just to live. Like they’ve got something wrong with them. So needy. Such babies.

Because ACT aren't even fake libertarians. They just genuflect in the direction of liberty while seeking to arrogate to themselves more state power So what they won't tell you is that the status quo is that NZ has easier, more accessble, more free hunting than any industrialised nation in the world

Because you can’t have a garden in New Zealand there’s a community one out the back of every Mitre 10. Compared to supermarkets it’s pretty cheap and anyone can use it - you just have to pay for at least one item you don’t need every time you go.

It's safe to assume that all major LLMs are scraping Bluesky data to train future models. As an open protocol, Bluesky is one of the few sources of fresh human-generated content that anybody can gobble up. So all this is probably going in the models. There are submarines in the Great Lakes.

Hearing from an expert researcher in complexity in education. Learning looked at through the idea of ontological stacking. What is the stack we use? What do we value? How do we act in the world? How we make ‘normative’ judgements about the causes and effects. #ontology #education

I think we should start measuring government programmes in Hayden Donnell's 'metres of roading'. Lowering the age of bowel cancer screening to 45? 5 metres of road. A year of Three Waters? 63 metres of road. Reading recovery? 13mm of road.
