Bolsonaro's loss is not just a loss for Bolsonaro. It's a loss for Trump. For Musk. For Milei. For Netanyahu. For Farage. For Meta and Zuckerberg. For the meat barons, the fossil fuel corporations, and the rest of the neocolonial looters. And it is a massive win for humanity and the living planet.

The other implication of his run -- that Toronto has slid into flith and chaos because we don't have a white man at the helm -- is the vilest dog-whistling shit, especially since Chow is still working to clean up the mess John Tory and the Fords left behind.

Heated Rivalry cost $3 million per episode, about $18 million in total. It was the biggest show on TV last year. This whole endeavour will cost around 3+ Heated Rivalries. But instead, Doug is cutting funding to everything else, including universities, to fund roads being torn up.

TPS is going to have one hell of a WSIAT file for respiratory issues. At least we slowed them down tonight. It ain’t over till it’s over. And it‘s never over.

No worries Linda. I agree with your basic point, that Bradford would be a terrible mayor for Toronto.

I did like this one, though. I regret not putting it as clearly and eloquently as Annie did. I could have saved a bunch of us some grief. bsky.app/profile/anni...

This is the company that will supposedly be leasing the new data centre in Cape Breton, providing many of the “jobs” that were promised. I’m sure they won’t cut corners, miss lease payments, or back out of any of those non binding promises they’ve made to the province.

Rob fixed potholes. He coached high school football games when he should have been at city council and was MIA/incapacitated whenever there was an emergency. He was way out of his depth, forced into the job by his insane family.

Linda Blair@mjmbca.bsky.social

Rob Ford, a man who will handily go down in history as our worst mayor, was at least a man who wanted to do a good job and serve his community. I’ve seen no evidence of Bradford having any interest in doing the same. Bradford’s in it for Bradford. #topoli

Blame Doug Ford, and his constant interference in Toronto issues There is one big idea that could change all of this, though. We had decades to densify areas like Bloor West in more gentle ways and the residents always said no. It drove a housing crisis so bad that the province stepped in and required towers be allowed near transit stations. I doubt the residents will understand it that way. www.thestar.com/real-estate/...
