Hey everyone, gather around! Elon Musk, the trillionaire defense contractor currently spending >$400m on political campaigns to prop up the party of a deeply unpopular president who launched the Iran War has some thoughts about Ukraine, elites, and money in politics.

🎲 What can a board game teach us about C# 15 and .NET 11? Quite a lot! Explore common domain modeling pitfalls, why invalid states slip past the compiler, and how new features like unions and closed hierarchies can help catch bugs earlier.

Not only has inflation brought higher prices to the average consumer, but the cost of buying a politician has skyrocketed.

These weirdos are spending billions to "genetically engineer a war dog?"🤡 First of all, genetic engineering of dogs already exists. It's called breeding. It's practically free. Second, there is nothing a non-psychopath needs a dog to be able to do to a human being, that a Belgian Malinois can't do

Mekka Okereke@mekka.mekka-tech.com

The Belgian Malinois exists. As a human going from being able to do 3 pullups to being able to do 20, or dropping your mile pace down from 10 minute miles to 6 minute miles, won't make any difference if one of these land missiles comes after you. You're a human. Use your unfair brain advantage.

The .NET team just put out a preview of dotnetup, a toolchain manager for .NET in the same spirit as rustup or nvm. Small thing, but setting up a new machine just got a lot less annoying. #dotnet #csharp

It’s incredible what now happens in plain sight while the media fails to hold anyone accountable. We’ve reached the point where the satire is funny until you remember it’s describing reality.

I am on France preparing for my workshops next week ^H^H^H^H^H (most of you don’t get the ^H thing anyway but imagine strike through font over a modem) Visiting Disney Paris with family. Btw they’re are only double digit tickets left for TechoramaNL next week including my workshop Monday

Oh yeah and if you do show up I have a couple of talks during the main conference as well, both conveniently just after lunch so if you were to I dunno stay out late drinking or anything you could probably still make them. One is on antipatterns and the other is on writing code agents can maintain.

What? You already bought you tickets because you DON’T procrastinate until the very minute??! Well, try the code anyway and maybe it does something for you. I don’t know I didn’t make the site. But you have nothing to lose except a few seconds of clicking about.

So yeah you’ve like less than a week to get your boss to sign off and get your travel squared away to Utrecht and I realize most of you are like “what’s a Utrecht?”

But I assure you if you haven’t been you will absolutely regret not making it to this years TechoramaNL which is featuring and over the top medieval theme that is NOT TO BE MISSED

You know, the one on Architecture Fundamentals, those things you still should know even after you’ve given in to just letting the autocomplete on steroids write all your application code. Yeah, that stuff?

If you've never been, the #techorama team do an AMAZING job of running the conference. The themes, the content, the speakers, the venue. It's awesome. If you can swing it, I'd love to see you there.

i was fortunate enough to profile Margaret Hamilton in 2019. A really kind and curious person. This was my favorite story she told me:
