So, like, imagine your whole identity, self-esteem, and meaning in life is wrapped up in one mortal man who is nearly 80 years old and looking wobbly. You’re dreading something you can’t even allow yourself to articulate as a recognizable thought because it’s just too unbearable, too terrifying.

Tajani: "Ho parlato con il ministro degli esteri israeliano per chiedere di evitare escalation" Nel frattempo il ministro israeliano: "Chi cazzo era al telefono che voleva vendermi parmigiano?"

The next obvious step is ensuring that the European Union doesn't stay that way, it should break down too according to Yarvin's ideas...

my takeaway from this feature is that in a functioning political system there would be televised congressional hearings over the fact that one of the most influential people in the white house is a total maniac www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

Early rumors are that up to 40 Russian strategic bombers were destroyed in one of the most audacious operations I’ve ever seen. Get fucked, Vlad.

La tv italiana è diventata la merda dei canali di scolo dell'informazione pubblica, 20 minuti di #tg1 a parlare ancora del delitto di Garlasco. Morbosità schifosa e servizio pubblico imbarazzante.

I find it amusing that she's not regretting the wasteful space tour or the fact that she spent all the time up there looking at a camera, but only the fact that the video inside the pod was shown to everyone. This article is a perfect occasion to discuss limitarianism. A thread 🧵⬇️

The second reason is a fiscal/financial one: over a certain number, the tax rate should be 100%, let's say over one billion. This in the case the first reason and action doesn't work.

Finally, the third reason is an ethical one: people should not have more than they need to live a prosperous life. And this I believe is the reason perfectly mirrored by this sad Blue Origin story: is this space tour a necessary action to live a prosperous life?

In 2022 1,228 billionaires held $12,700,000,000,000 combined together. Limitarianism is a philosophy that basically ask to impose a limit on all those zeroes and that wealth, based on three different types of reasons.

These reasons were perfectly described in Ingrid Robeyn's book, Limitarianism - The case against extreme wealth. The first reason is of course a structural one: to reduce inequalities should be the objective of a modern society, because there is enough wealth for everyone to enjoy it.

In just three months in office, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has produced a run of chaos that is unmatched in the Pentagon's recent history. His inner circle — military veterans who, like him, had little experience running large, complex organizations — is in shambles.
