wow. what a beautiful world that has been built out of polygons and code by people for me. sure would be a shame if my main interaction verb was โshoot gunโ
Game design isnโt about being able to identify problems. Everyone who plays games can identify problems. Game design is about diagnosing player experience, having intent, and executing.
I think to a lot of folks outside dev, game criticism (an art in itself) is seen as interchangeable with design.
Microsoft losing the plot to the extent that games running on Linux through a compatibility layer are now not only faster but *assumed to be faster* than games running natively on Windows should be an even bigger story than it already is
Has been the case for a while, but I genuinely don't know how to process living on a planet where such a blatant disregard for human life is this normal for so many people
"How will a civilization being destroyed affect investors?"
We are all human beings. What the fuck are we doing
The matter-of-fact way she asks what investors should do if Trump destroys Iran. Absolutely wild.
"Let's talk about tonight, this deadline that President Trump has set 8 p.m., has threatened to destroy a civilization. How does an investor process that? Is it a bigger upside risk or downside risk?"
yeah man i'll circle back to you on that agenda item from yesterday's all hands in just a sec. our pedophile king just threatened to destroy a whole civilization
in 2016 a group of strangers in Kazakhstan saved a dog from drowning by forming a human chain to reach him. they just unveiled a statue commemorating the event and I'm genuinely about to start sobbing
microdosing social media while waiting for unity to exit playmode so I can wait for it to reimport assets so I can wait for it to recompile so I can wait for it to reload domains so I can wait for it to import assets again so I can wait for it to enter playmode
Anyone can master a skill if they work at it for long enough, no matter how unintuitive it might seem to them at first. With enough effort, you WILL eventually get good at it. This applies in all scenarios except with me and level design,
I hate when you put so much effort into a creative project you think is ACTUALLY unique and has potential, just to find out someone else beat you to it
Can't overstate how happy I am that this took off, it's one of my favorite things on social media in a long time. So many people inspired to make a lil guy because it's fun and cute and who cares if it's good!! just wanna make a rat!
I love them all
vindictive, vicious cruelty designed to humiliate and criminalize every trans person in kansas
horrifying fascist shit reminiscent of the runup to the literal holocaust
Please make more games where exploration of the world isn't used primarily a vehicle to fight stuff. We're always fighting stuff in all these intriguing worlds in which I would love to explore and interact with in interesting ways. Thank you for your time
Game design these days doesn't treat exploration as an experience, but as a mechanic from which other mechanics can be served.
... and imo that fucking sucks ass
Damn, I'm actually excited about the Valve announcement. The last time I even *cared* about gaming hardware was the Steam Deck, lol. Valve has been COOKING, and it's so refreshing compared to... whatever everyone else is doing
