Crazy story: A bank analyst published a report showing Kalshi users lose money even faster than sports gamblers, so Kalshi first tried to pressure the data provider to change their data and then accused them and the analyst of conspiring to extort them when that doesn’t work.

Never change, Bluesky. (Someone else replied to Jill in Sky’s mentions using her first name and Jill quotes Sky saying it’s creepy. Sky questions the logic in this, is asked not to yell.)

It’s funny how the woo woo people said for years that big pharma was holding back a cancer cure because treatment was more profitable, and then they went and created those conditions through their own death-drive idiocy

Bill Grueskin@bgrueskin.bsky.social

As the US hits a 33-year high in measles infections, there is now a "race" to find a treatment for the disease. One pharma company "is banking on a continuing decline in vaccination rates to fuel a need for measles treatments—and in turn, more investor interest" 🎁 link www.wsj.com/health/healt...

NEW: Four National Guard armories were breached weeks apart in incidents previously undisclosed, with evidence pointing toward a possible inside job. Sensitive equipment was taken. We learned FBI took point, but it declined to confirm its involvement. By me w/ records via @propertyofthepeople.org

i do not believe that the implementation of an unconstitutional executive order is “hard to stop,” there’s simply no institutional will to stop it

Laurence H. Tribe@tribelaw.bsky.social

Now Trump will treat being homeless as an offense to justify imprisoning people without trial in the growing set of concentration camps that he avoids calling what they are. All in the name of safe public spaces and less crime. Unconstitutional, but hard to stop. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

(At least from the PoV of Israel’s claims) ‘Genocide denying dweeb’ is an affect I’ve discovered I hate more than nazis or kahanists

My record on Palestine speaks for itself. I’m proud of it. One of the strongest in Congress. I throw down for pro-Palestine candidates. Largely unrecognized work. That’s fine. Disagreements are fine, too. But if you want to toss all that for 1 half assed MTG stunt, be my guest. I know where I stand.

basically all political discourse is premised on the idea that leftist goals are the only humane and rational ones, but we can't actually pursue them in any way because that's simply not allowed every positive goal is a childish luxury belief, no matter how urgent; every evil desire is ineffable

You’re reacting to our mutual powerlessness by locating the issue with protest optics. Have any ideas for how to make every Latino in LA not wave a Mexican flag too? For the 1% of voters whose opposition to people being nabbed off the street by fascist paramilitary hinges on the flag they wave.

lol ok lmao. To deal with bad press that will be pretty much equally bad either way (and to salve Jewish feelings) we should viciously beat up whoever attends with a red triangle on their cap. Are you listening to yourself?

It feels like it’s about power. Arson was wrong. Saeed is a real person just trying to survive in Gaza. In order to re-exert control or rationalize denying someone their humanity, Arson creates the first AI-generated video of Saeed that I’m aware of. And by doing that he dehumanizes Saeed again.

The pseudonymous account Rev. Howard Arson accused Saeed Ismail of being a fake, AI-generated person. After I wrote about how Saeed is real, Arson is now creating AI videos of Saeed and his blanket. I don’t know Arson’s goal with all of this, but it strikes me as incredibly cruel.

Love to take cash from my one unprofitable company that can still raise capital for some reason and pump it into my other, obscenely unprofitable company that cannot raise capital without paying credit card APR. No one will ever see through this delightfully clever ruse!
