It’s never been more clear that racism is a scam perpetrated by wealthy elites to convince working people to blame someone other than the wealthy elite.

The only reason that 35 year olds are complaining about 18 year olds getting some candy is that the 35yos were hoping no one would be trick or treating and they could eat all the candy themselves.

Let them have the damn candy

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

If that had happened to me, I would have assumed I was being carjacked.

The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera). Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.

Kind of a buried lede in the results of this Supreme Court approval rating poll from Marquette: Overall support for Supreme Court expansion, which even Democratic politicians were dismissing as "radical" just a few years ago, is now at 53 percent today.marquette.edu/2026/09/marq...

The IceCube neutrino detector has won the 2026 Nobel Prize in physics. The Trump administration has proposed slashing its budget in half in 2027.

Me: Ok, that's taken care of. My notebook: Hey, I'm going to zoom in over here, where you can see more of those things you're working on! Going to fix those too? Me: Damn it.

Again, Neither NAFTA nor China are the reason that union auto jobs are leaving the area. Kyle Bos, the supposed union rep, voted for Trump 3 times. Three!🤷🏿‍♂️ Yes I'm sad that 1,400 truck manufacturing jobs were eliminated. But in California, BYD, a supposed "Chinese company" created 750 union jobs.

It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.

My absolute, rock-bottom standard for trans allies right now is that when they see a post from a trans person saying that they can't vote for some anti-trans Dem & they're sick about all this, you offer a shoulder to cry on instead of a lecture on electing Nazis. That's it. That's all you gotta do.

A24 is potentially doing something really fucked up here, but also they have the opportunity to do something extremely fucking cool and make the movie Creative Commons people would still pay to see it in theaters. but you want to benefit from a community project? then contribute to it

Voters shouldn't have to play four-dimensional chess when it comes to what electoral candidates say or do. People running for office should say what they think and be clear about what they'll do, and have done, and explain inconsistencies. I realize I'm asking for a perfect world, here.

sorry, but torturing the omelas kid is just a smart move, polling-wise. i personally wish there wasn't a kid in the omelas hole--of course i do!--but let's not get distracted by purity tests, here.

Finally tried the "turn off reposts," and it has made my timeline much better. I enjoy you, people I follow who repost themselves every two hours, just not as much as you enjoy you.
