I follow r/Conservative on Reddit. Today I saw a post amplifying this story, suggesting it’s a further complication for D voters who might already be squeamish about the “Nazi tattoo”. For me the subtext was “libs” can’t stomach it. What if they can? And what if he gets some 2024 R voters b/c of it?

This headline under appreciates the creativity, capacity, and power of elites like PT. To say Argentina is “the end of the world” presumes he couldn’t get to Mars or a neighboring star system. Which would be a fine retreat, indeed. Aim high and think big, Pete.

I also think dictators like Putin correctly understand that they cannot admit a mistake or withdraw from one without losing power. Therefore, I believe this war will be ended by someone else.
