One year ago, Anas Al-Sharif’s final words were: “I Entrust You With Palestine.” We are honored to join #palestinianyouthmovement in their week of action.

We have an incredible problem: too many donations for our mutual aid hub and not enough shelves! We’ve outgrown our current setup, and we need to adapt to keep up with need, especially as we help candidates across the country adopt this model.

THIS MORNING: McDonald’s workers are on strike due to excessive heat - temps in the kitchen reached 98.2 degrees and management claimed they didn't know how to turn on the air conditioner! The heat gives many of us horrible headaches, and exacerbates symptoms for those of us who have diabetes. 🧵

President Anica Walls was proud to stop by today’s worksite action in Sacramento and stand alongside members! Thank you to every state worker taking action and supporting our bargaining teams as unit-specific negotiations continue across California. This is what union power looks like.

Public pension funds in over half of U.S. states hold billions of dollars in Palantir stock, according to @Sludge. Public workers in several of these states, like Maine, New Jersey, New York, and Oregon, are protesting the fact that their pension funds are being funnel to this dangerous company.

Capital is holding humanity hostage from reaching our full potential as a species. We need a new system now. Us workers must wake up and recognize our strength when united. History is in our hands - we just need to come together and take it.

the primary reason rightwingers will never control culture is because everything they do is hinged upon it being a reaction to the broader culture. the TPUSA half time event would not exist without it being a representation of their grievences

Trump: "The problem with Vietnam, we, you know, we stopped fighting to win. We would've won easy. We would've won Afghanistan easy. We would've won every war easy. But we got politically correct. 'Oh, let's take it easy.' We're not politically correct anymore, just so you understand."

It’s called hyper-normalization. It’s a dissociative reaction meant to shield you as a safety mechanism, but ultimately helps whatever is attacking you. Think closing your eyes as a train comes rather than jumping out of the way. Fascism will succeed if we continue to hyper normalize its presence.

One thing we have learned is that homelessness in America was 100% a choice. If we can stand up housing for detainees all over America in a matter of months, we could have done so for the homeless. We demanded far far too little from our Democratic leaders. We should have demanded they do more.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

“And I’m like, what do you mean, you ‘do your own research’? You running a double-blind study in your living room, dawg?” - A guy walking ahead of me with his friends on a NYC sidewalk in 2021, also my favorite overheard dialogue of the entire pandemic
