This was always going to happen. My guess is that Trump will issue a blanket pardon for every political appointee. Signaling a move like this will embolden his underlings to disregard and break the law. And that's the point.

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

New Hampshire does not get nearly enough attention for Republican voter suppression and gerrymandering. New Hampshire, Alabama and Mississippi are the only states that don’t allow early voting or excuse-free mail voting. The NH GOP routinely wins gerrymandered majorities while Dems win more votes

With rape being front and center in the national consciousness right now, it is unconscionable that Ramaswamy would think attacking his opponent for being raped as a child would win him anything but scorn. It’s fucked up any time, but particularly at this moment. What a fucking asshole.

Hecklers at Republican events get physically assaulted, while hecklers at Democratic ones get a civil exchange of views. And yet I'm pretty sure Tommy would've preferred the former this morning.

If you’re advising POTUS to declare martial law, or use other executive powers in an attempt to interfere with a lawful election that you’re expecting to lose, you’re a piece of shit human and an even worse American. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

X is owned by Musk. TikTok is blocking the Musk movie account. Meta blocked the No Kings account. This is why Democracy Docket is not built on SubStack or any third-party platform that could one day turn against it. It costs more to operate but is worth it. Subscribe now. demdock.com/4w6emld

To be clear, evil billionaire scumbag Zuckerberg shutting down the official No Kings account in the middle of nationwide protests isn’t a mistake, it’s an assault on a free speech and expression, it’s pure fascism.

Watching Vance light his 2028 prospects on fire in real time is something

The husband of a U.S. soldier killed in Trump's Iran war confronts JD Vance over alleged military leadership failures that led to the deaths of his wife and five other service members. JOEY AMOR: “There's a failure in the leadership.” VANCE: “This is literally the first time I've heard of this.”

The Washington Post reviewed a Heritage Foundation database of voter fraud cases and found 85 cases relating to allegations of noncitizens voting between 2002 and 2023. 85…over TWO DECADES. This entire administration is built on lies.

I keep thinking of how morally bankrupt it was for Republican lawmakers to wear AR-15 lapel pins.

People are claiming that Elon Musk messed with Starlink in Ukraine because Trump asked him. I think a more likely reason is that Ukraine damaging Russian data centers embarrassed Elon by showing how many of his Twitter followers are nonexistent and how much traffic on Twitter is driven by bots.

Does anyone remember the movie Maximum Overdrive from the 80’s?!?😬

Keep an eye on your internet-connected ovens and lawnmowers. "Anthropic has warned that rogue “AI worms” will soon be able to hijack smart home devices such as ovens and TVs, creating a new cyber security threat that will be difficult to contain."

@timmiller.bsky.social FYI, James Talerico is a type 1 diabetic. I am also a type 1 diabetic and despite having gotten the vaccine, I got the flu. The issue with having diabetes is that when you get sick, your blood sugar will spiral out of control. This would be the reason he wasn’t around

Also, if you have the flu, you shouldn’t be out and around other people, you can spread it easily, and it can be life-threatening for others

Trump uses DHS and DOJ as weapons to go after the people standing up to him. Raiding @ilhanmn.bsky.social home weeks before Election Day is the kind of overreach that should scare every single American. I stand with Ilhan. We will never be intimidated into silence.

Ilhan Omar@ilhanmn.bsky.social

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

This story makes it sound like the major problem is that the Trump Admin did this w/in 60 days of an election. Yes, that's a real abuse. But the major problem is they're basically threatening to denaturalize an opposition legislator, based on racist insinuations. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...

Being read to and encouraged to read was one of the greatest gifts my parents ever gave me. My parents never put any barriers on their own library, bought us book lights so we could read in the car, and pretended they didn’t notice when I’d be up past bedtime reading under the sheets.

Kelly Barnhill@kellybarnhill.bsky.social

Do we really need to explain to people that it is really, REALLY important to read to young children? Like, you, personally, need to read to your child - your voice, your face, your hand gestures, your lap, your arms, your closeness. What kind of parent doesn't know this in their bones?
