"amplify your people" is 100% the best strategy
Iβm not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Donβt share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.
Farage will never be Britain's Trump, and this is why. Trump will just lie and say he's got the biggest, most tremendous crowds, the biggest, nobody's seen bigger crowds, and he'll run with it. He can lie with confidence. Farage doesn't have the sauce. He can't confidently lie like that.

It reminds me of what @foldablehuman.bsky.social said: "No oneβs responsible, the DAO did it, no humans are liable, just this amorphous sentient carbon cloud." "In a lot of ways this is all just a system for deferring trust onto machines and pretending that there arenβt humans on the other end."

If Burnham and Macron have a spine, they need to block this loser:
A voting extension that FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro ALSO CALLED FOR.
Brazilβs President Luiz InΓ‘cio Lula da Silva, a vocal critic of U.S. President Donald Trump, was reelected Sunday. His opponent FlΓ‘vio Bolsonaro refused to concede defeat and asked for the election results to be annulled due to a last-minute decision extended voting by two hours.

A second referendum will inevitably meet the question of less if we want to rejoin the EU (the country does), but if we want to give up the pound for the euro. Even if the UK can score back this exemption that we previously had, that will be the right-wing fearmongering line to keep us out.
'I will never move ahead of the British public when it comes to Brexit' Prime Minister Andy Burnham says he will not return the UK to EU freedom of movement rules without a referendum, after his call at the weekend for an βhonest discussionβ on the issue

Can't believe I've got to defend VuΔiΔ for just being like "Yeah, I lost to a bunch of kids, GG", Flavio is even more pathetic than Daddy.
BREAKING Brazil's defeated presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro refuses to recognize President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's victory on Sunday. "It is impossible to acknowledge the result," he said from Brasilia, adding that "I am going to request the annulment of these elections"

They're too dumb to do fascism. JFC.
BRENNAN: The DOJ lawsuit demands the Alaska result not be certified if voters are confused. The confusion is defined as Sen. Sullivan not winning. BLANCHE: That's not what it says BRENNAN: I'm quoting from it. You are telling them not to certify it. What right does the federal govt have?

Like everyone, I honestly thought this was a joke, because little man was cooking these kids left and right. But nope. These fragile ass parents really see the cops are their own personal grievance solution machine so they called them about YOUTH SOCCER. You need to fine people like that. Period.
They called the cops on this 3-year-old Black boy because he was kickin the white kids' ass on the soccer field.
