Just watched Inception again. Great movie, and doesn’t feel like it has been released that long ago. But Inception is now as old as The Lion King was at the time inception was released 🤯

My older daughter is having a sleep over and while it is more stressful than a regular weekend in some regards and less stressful in others, I absolutely love the mornings. Mostly, because for a short time, I get the feeling I used to have when doing sleepovers as a kid for just a moment.

Say about AI what you will, but the fact that I can basically tell my editor to "write tests for that", go make coffee and come back to a very solid first draft for tests is great.

Given how the past week went, I want to publicly thank Mr. Arthur J. Ibuprofen for his invention. Took some Ibu 400s this week and they worked great. The dedication to do 399 iterations just to find product market for on 400. Truly inspiring!

Nice late Christmas present: Been holding $MVST for about two years now, averaging down time and time again to ~$0.80. Nice to see it gaining momentum again those last few days.

I’m having a conversation with my mom about something I want for Christmas and a week later Santa gives it to me. When will we pass privacy regulations

I know it’s not much but the ScyllaDB cluster we’re all posting to right now was named in honor of @krisnova.net

Pour one out for @krisnova.net who isn't alive to witness this moment of everyone from tech twitter finally being set free from the social gravity hellhole of Xitter.

"Popular with Friends" is such a nice feed! I always liked that X would show me content from accounts that I did not follow, but the fact that it was just based on _something_ was annoying and it usually sucked. If "Popular with Friends" starts sucking, I probably have the right friends on here.

I found myself on the verge of switching to Safari a few times over the past week. Might just give it a proper go.

I’ve been using Safari full time for a week. I’m not switching back. Here’s my experience so far 🧵

Kinda got nerdsniped on macOS ricing. As the law required, I'm going the catppuccin route first. Not fully there yet (will I ever be? send help) but like the direction so far

I think it shows that I mostly ask about work-related stuff. Also pretty sure I'd be in serious trouble with my wife if I wrote "SAAS HELL" on they wall

Shout out to @joshwcomeau.com's principles. He closed his 135K Twitter account, despite it being a major marketing tool for his content and courses. He spent his final days informing his followers about the election before closing it and moving here. Protest isn't always convenient.

It's funny how X has a serious (negative) impact on my mental health and I fail to realize it over and over again. It's been two days of not opening it and hanging around here instead and I feel so much less anxious.

Like almost all social media platforms in their early days, the vibes are great right now because everyone’s posting about the things they love. It always goes south when everyone starts posting about the things they hate. How about this time we all agree to keep it this way?

First post so uh.. 👋 Hi Im Chris. Senior Fullstack Engineer at gigs.com living in Copenhagen with my family. I talk about work and my side projects (I jump between them a lot) as well as my new life in Denmark. Sometime I try to take pretty pictures as well.

You are up to date.
