Feel like this deserves a bump.

I got rid of cable around the time ESPN became a day-long cavalcade of shouting dudes, so I’ve only ever had a vague sense of who Pat McAfee is. Yesterday my wife and I got lunch at a diner with its TVs tuned to ESPN, and that dude is a fucking freak. What in the world?

upping this again, if you or someone you know has an extra ticket and you're not asking for $2800 you would make a 65 year old man who's been talking about 1982 my entire life very happy

well going to throw this out there: if anyone has an extra single standing room only ticket for game 1 of the world series they'd like to get rid of (for face value), my dad is looking for a ticket

You can't be Chandler Simpson if you don't do *all* the Chandler Simpson stuff. Even the original has a narrow path of staying Chandler Simpson; a downwards blip in contact rate or speed and he's a fifth outfielder.

Going to start a business called Edible Estrangements. We deliver a lovely basket of fruit to you significant other, then as soon as they close the front door we ring the doorbell again and dump them for you.

My wife was just dancing around and singing “Twist and Shout” to our baby, which is how I learned she thought the lyrics were not, “Shake it up baby now,” but rather, “SHAKIN’ A BABY NOW.”

You know, the thing is, I had drafted this piece a month ago, and then never published it, because I thought maybe it was too mean.

A lot of my baseball career has been in analytics but many probably didn’t know I also lead our mental performance group, the psychology and cognition department. This consists of me, several researchers, and coaches who apply our findings back to the players and coaches

If you’ve ever wondered what the opposite of everybody at the bar shouting “Norm!” was…

Man, imagine you're minding your own business, getting kind of drunk with your friends at a picturesque brewery in Maine, when suddenly John Roberts walks by and you get to start heckling him. Must have felt incredible. That's the dream. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/01/u...

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

the two worst teams in MLB should play a game the day after the season ends just for the people who want more baseball. the people yearn for 2 pm Rockies - Angels

I know the title makes this sound like a niche thing, but it’s actually a fun breakdown of one of the game’s most interesting players.
