Challenge runs being brainwormed into "the intended experience" is just fascinatingly stupid. Capcom is not going to beat you with a brick because you used an item in DMC3, they were put in the game for a reason. Fromsoft is not crushing your balls for summmoning, they're in game for a reason

You do not need to ghost and nonlethally takedown every single encounter in Hitman or Deus Ex on your first playthroughs. At some point, we lost the plot and decided that instead of someone playing through a game and then deciding they want to do it "better" next time, you must play "the real way"
