RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

This feels like it should be grounds for blacklisting Starlink operations in Canada. Important infrastructure like internet service should not operate at the political whims of the most divorced man on the planet.

anyone who doesn't accept "some doors will close for me, some relationships will be lost forever, and becoming better is its own reward" isn't serious about rehabilitation

To other dudes who feel some bizarre skepticism whenever cases like the Cornell 7 happen: take a moment to realize that there are women you know who have been subjected to either sexual harassment or assault. Not 'likely', not 'possibly'. Have.

I don't think I've felt as engaged or supported by the rules of a ttrpg then when I run Draw Steel. I ran a werewolf against my players and it felt like I got to pilot a Dark Souls boss - at level goddamn 1! #drawsteel

i really can’t bring myself to care about AI anthropomorphism debates. “is AI thinking?” i don’t know. is a calculator calculating? questions for the philosophers. what’s important is that we put sam altman in prison.

Going from Windows to Linux is actually pretty painless. The only part that took any real time was making backups for my PC in case I needed to reinstall windows. And my computer is now using a fraction of its resources instead of 30-40% cpu/ram while sitting fucking idle.

The fact that Smith can pull this almost daily at this point and still poll well is absolutely vile.

But this, of course, is not "violence." But if one of the workers decided to vandalize or sabotage the machinery to force it to stop, now THAT would be violence.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

I pulled up next to one at 10:17am yesterday an snapped a photo. By 10:27 the agents I photographed were in front of my house, along with another vehicle that met them there. It's a 10 minute drive from where I took the photo to my house - so they got the data *instantly* bsky.app/profile/mitc...

Guys I think they're instantly getting DVS data. Pulled up next to this guy on central going south in Columbia heights, followed him, they turned around, got on 694, crossed the river, and went straight to my house in Brooklyn center.

The US has attacked a country, kidnapped its head of state, and is seizing its oil. Trump has invoked the Monroe Doctrine. This is a moment for Canada to stand up: condemn this act of imperialism. Reject impunity and the politics of brute force.
