Laughing, crying, throwing up, etc. to have a debut novel coming out in spring 2028. It’s a funny literary novel called HENRY GOODWOLF about a legendary monster hunter and the limits of understanding.

Every day, dozens, sometimes hundreds, of Wikipedia biographies—of child actors turned LA realtors, retired ambassadors, obscure soccer players—are purged from the world’s free encyclopedia. How do these poor souls take the news?

It is GHOST WEEK at @wired.com and to kick things off, we have this delightful story about people being haunted in a very specific and very internetty way — by the ghost of their former Wikipedia page:

This happened to me. Had a page when I worked in music. Which was quite surreal but, a thing that happened. One day I went to show someone and lo, and behold, it'd gone. I assume because someone there rightly wondered, who's this guy? And killed it. Fair enough. But a fun thing, nonetheless.

For @wired.com, I wrote about the unusual experience of having a Wikipedia page about yourself — and then being told you were never notable enough to have had one in the first place www.wired.com/story/the-tr...

I can't lie, the first PR email I've opened in weeks is this one about a new AI service that lets users sext and receive nudes from Lizzie Borden and Dracula

when I started writing for the Financial Times I got put on the press lists for art galleries and opera houses and, presumably, this

i actually must hand it to the developers of the AI lizzie borden cam girl, i am not unwilling to write an article about your product. who will commission me to do this one because I suspect it's not for the FT

It was enormously fun to serve as lead writer on Star Wars: Galactic Racer alongside Duncan. It’s a very ambitious project and Fuse did an amazing job! (Fortunately, Sebulba returned and we got to help put him in a video game)

Really pleased to finally say that Chris Remo and I were the lead writers on Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The team at Fuse are the absolute best in their field, and it really shows. It was a great project to work on and is an even better game to play. Sebulba forever

Sometimes I browse through heritage auctions and I find the occasional odd gem, but today I stumbled upon the mother-load: these ridiculous grocery store ads promoting the release of The Jungle Book, and each one has me absolutely reeling. Sharing them here so you too can share in my bewildered joy

The same story repeats itself everywhere in the culture: dumb rich guys who don't know what anything is or does, who are too lazy/smug to learn and ideologically committed to the idea that everything they don't control is Woke Bullshit, wrecking stuff on principle. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/25/w...

I'm in ESSES again, with a piece on the strangest Formula 1 video game ever made - or not made, as the case may be. This is a career highlight; never before have I reported a story by enlisting a F1 driver to ask another F1 driver about Austrian hackers *during the Monaco Grand Prix*

I don't know if Tyranny is Obsidian Entertainment's best game, but for my money it is their most interesting and effective design. Here's my piece on the 10th anniversary of Tyranny, which people weren't in the mood for in November 2016 and may be even less so today

Rob Zacny@robzacny.bsky.social

Was Tyranny a victim of bad timing or was it a bit too honest about the subtext of its audiences’ fantasies? @duncanfyfe.net on a game that has remained topical, trenchant… and rather neglected. remapradio.com/articles/ten...

Such a fun read on an industry and era that I’m admittedly unfamiliar with. It’s a long feature, but well worth the read!
