Those who preach peace through capitulation won't tell you what russian occupation means. russians occupied Izyum for less than 6m. After liberation, we found mass graves of 447 ppl, most of whom were civilians, incl 215 women and 5 children. Bodies had multiple signs of torture.

The leader of Reform UK in Wales has stepped down as leader following being arrested on suspicion of assault and engaging and controlling/coercive behaviour. He denies any wrongdoing. This is a developing story. Subscribe to the newsletter for full details.

I am the son of two police officers so I admit I am hardly unbiased here but I feel like the fact British policing has been hollowed out by massive budget cuts over a decade ought to be a larger part of the discussion than "DEI"

This is simply brilliant for anyone who wants an "Attenborough fix"

I was annoyed that I couldn't find a database of David Attenborough documentaries where I could search for a specific episode by topic. So I made it. attenborough-100.vercel.app

Remember Starmer's "urgent" review into foreign interference after Nathan Gill? Well, there's already two ex-UK ambassadors working in Westminster on behalf of a pro-Russian foreign government whose de facto leader is under UK sanctions... New on D4S: democracyforsale.substack.com/p/ex-uk-amba...

Starmer's speech won't convince the haters, but it was the best I've seen him give. Repositioned a lot of stuff in a good clear way, had a story to tell and a sense of mission. While I have plenty of nits to pick, it managed to address me not as a commentator, but as a person, which is a rare feat.

Amazing bit of 2019 footage this. Frei doing a great job of trying to hold Farage to account as he and Nathan Gill go walkabout. And I suspect Farage will come to regret his quip at the end about Russians if it does the rounds again.

Nathan’s mate Nigel sure did seem to want to brush it all away when questioned by Matt Frei back in 2019.

This tweet has been doing the rounds on Twitter now that Nathan Gill has pleaded guilty. If only someone had tried to investigate UKIP & Russian interference 🧐 There’s another timeline where the Guardian supported me, doubled down on the investigation & I look 5 years younger ..

There seems to be some *confusion* among Reform supporters over Nathan Gill being one of them “But, but, Reform didn’t exist when he took his Russian bribes” “But, but he was in UKIP” “But, but it has nothing to do with Farage, he barely knew the guy” So here’s a little history lesson 👍🏼🧵 1/14

Just tell tech to fuck off. Just tell voters to fuck off. JUST SHOUT THE MORAL THING A BIT LOUDER. 6/
