The Student List had no party machinery. It operated through university assemblies, protests and hiking between cities & towns. They had 2% of national TV political advertising airtime vs 93% for Vučić. This is one of the most remarkable grassroots democratic victories in modern European history.

Zohran Mamdani has appointed former FTC Chair Lina Khan to lead New York City's top economic development agency. Her understanding of how corporate power undermines economic freedom, which she examines in the video below, make her a perfect fit. Watch.

Declare the seat vacant, name a replacement, and let the courts demand for proof of life to decide. Abusing the legal system should not be left only for republicans, and if there is someone that deserves to be the target of the abuse is McConnell.

Really think that Gov of Kentucky needs to demand answers or declare the seat vacant

Back when I was a young man, CEOs made about 20 times the salary of their employees. Today a typical CEO makes over 280 times more. Here's what we can do about it.

The Republican Party deserves to go the way of the Whigs for what they keep doing to America and Americans. Opening the path to third parties with #RankedChoiceVoting is a way forwards to their unavoidable obsolescence. @fairvote.bsky.social

Jon Ossoff sums it up: “This is the cruelest & most arrogant group of people who ever ascended to high office - their cruelty & arrogance are only matched by their incompetence."

This is addressed to everyone, but especially Americans under the age of 30: Read dystopian novels. Read 1984, and Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451, and White Noise, and—fuck—even Hunger Games. So many of you just aren’t getting what’s been happening just because you don’t read.

We should have learned that you can’t manage a public health crisis by ignoring it. Politicizing science and weakening disease surveillance doesn’t make threats disappear, it only makes us less prepared to respond.

I know the list is endless but I genuinely think trashing the legitimate congressionally chartered org for celebrating the 250th to instead hijack our national assets and taxpayer funds for his personality cult grifter crap should, in and of itself, be fully sufficient to merit removal from office.

Some Democrats think the party has gone too far left and needs to readjust towards the “center.” Rubbish. Where’s the center between democracy and oligarchy, and why would Democrats want to be there?

Ossoff: “The election deniers, they tell a lie so absurd, and therefore so debasing to tell, that the act of telling it proves the teller's total and humiliating submission. And you may have seen that one of those election deniers now asks to represent Georgia in the Senate.”

The most ridiculous, corrupt, ignorant, disastrous, and disgusting administration in American history led by the most spineless and stupid bunch of morons. The Republican Party deserves to go the way of the Whigs for this.

“The scandal of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is such a complete encapsulation—and such a perfect metaphor—of incompetence and corruption that it deserves to be both a long-remembered failure and a final straw for a restless, angry nation.“ www.americaamerica.news/p/what-does-...

Stories are easy, truth is hard. But reality will always assert itself in the end, stories can only go against reality for so long. We are seeing reality do the work that republican politicians have been too cowardly to do. The Republican Party deserves to go the way of the Whigs.

Trump’s latest problem is a biggie and it was inevitable. As Trump declines, his winning is gone, and his magical con is busted wipe open. Trump. Is. Revealed. He’s hilarious, a savage satire of an empty-headed politician. And like all great comedy, the Trump show is at heart a great tragedy.

The thing is you gotta be obsessed with the Nazi regime to even reach for a Bonhoeffer reference here and you gotta be an incredibly twisted soul to think Bonhoeffer’s nonviolent heroism is the tragedy we can’t repeat in that story.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was an anti-fascist German Lutheran pastor who opposed Hitler and the Nazi Party so effectively that they murdered him in 1945. He is only a bad guy if you literally spend all your time on far-right, neo-Nazi websites and have pickled your brain in fascist group chats.

Hell of a Freudian slip. I *assume* he was thinking of the Baader-Meinhof Gang, a far-left terrorist group. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a legendary and rightly celebrated anti-Nazi theologian & dissident.

👏‼️ Raise 'em high! It's time the media gave Trump a taste of his own medicine. The only way to beat a bully is to stand up to him. When he goes low, give him a shot of reality, and watch him crumble. The first reporter who stands up to him get my vote for a Pulitzer. Who else?

The Republican Party deserves to go the way of the Whigs for what they have put America through. Ever since Reagan they started dismantling democratic norms, they created the disfunction and Trump is just a symptom of it.

We might have finally reached the point in American political life where Republicans are more afraid of voters than they are of Tr*mp. But it’s much too late, and the midterms are much too soon. Do not forgive or forget.
