8 years after scrapping the Iran nuclear deal gotten with global economic isolation. 5 months after bombing, which failed. 2 months after post-bombing economic isolation failed, leading to an MOU favoring Iran. And weeks after scrapping that to bomb again. We have a new plan: economic isolation.
In two weeks…?

Sen. Chris Murphy: "Donald Trump has lost this war. America is weaker, Iran is stronger, the price to reopen the strait increases by the day, the supposed 'deal' that's on the table right now would pay Iran $100 billion a year in order to reopen the strait ... what a victory for Iran."

So much winning: A US service member was killed today in Iraq, and more remains were found in Jordan. A source tells Washington Post the US stockpile of munitions is insufficient to safely sustain operations and “I don’t think the White House is aware of that.” wapo.st/4puMk0b

Now @apnews.com has a deeply reported story confirming the recently-hired ICE officer who shot a man in Maine had serious mental health issues and a long history of violence against women. This comes after ICE slashed hiring standards and rushed some into the field before background checks cleared.

This full clip speaks to me. Pocan knows what he's talking about with respect to small businesses because it's his area of expertise outside of Congress. I know because it's also *my* area of expertise. Having representatives who share your lived experience is a very important piece of governance.
POCAN: I think the problem is you're talking to rich people. Maybe this will help. Who pays tariffs? LOEFFLER: 80% of tariffs are paid by foreign countries POCAN: Okay. That would be like me saying I have long flowing red hair. It's complete BS. Small businesses pay tariffs.

Trying to do a statewide caucus with one or two weeks to spin it up is nuts. Doing a pop-up convention is possible but still a huge pointless hassle, all you're doing is effectively gathering a slightly larger number of the same people who chose and are represented by the state committee members.

It is not undemocratic, not even a little bit, for a candidate to voluntarily drop out of a race and be replaced by their party using the legal procedure that exists for that purpose. Don't concede the premise as if you have to dress it up somehow and apologize for a party being a party.
erickoszyk.bsky.social reposted
This is one of the things they legally exist to do, and a state party committee with ~100 people on it is not some tiny smoke-filled room of party bosses. It's not like a convention would produce a meaningfully different result anyway, it's the same set of party activists and minor officials.
