The average family that heats their home with oil is going to pay $1500 more this winter because of Donald Trump’s insane Iran War. Some people will go cold. Some may die. This isn’t hyperbole. This is the consequence of having a president who just doesn’t care about you.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much (any?) discussion about how Democrats can use Trump's gutter racism to shift the major party political coalitions in a durable way. I think it's both doable and worth doing.

We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

Once mass spam texts were made legal, younger donors vanished, leaving a grassroots fundraising machine that subsists on squeezing vulnerable seniors, some of whom give hundreds of times a day. It’s a horrific model. Consultants get generationally wealthy, and the party hollows out its future.

Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.

I had a terrible experience with Verizon yesterday and just switched my service to US Mobile, which Wirecutter ranked #1 among wireless providers. I'm now paying a lot less and I'm no longer in business with a company actively looking to swindle me to juice earnings. Feels good, highly recommend.

That $366 million Elon is spending to try and convince voters that Congress should stay Republican? It's more money than McCain's 2008 campaign spent. But it's also, relative to Musk's net worth, the same as a household at the median income spending $32.

As a matter of plain fact, the reason college newspapers seem to do better and more reporting than all but the biggest local dailies is they are staffed by people who are willing to work for free. Maybe this is obvious. It's a reminder of how much was lost when the internet obsoleted local papers.

But 1992 is debatable because it's more states but smaller ones (Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Kentucky). In 2008, Obama won Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina, but not Georgia or Texas. That D performance in the South is notable even if it's wave-enabled (knock wood).
