Reform have 5 MPs. In the past three days I have seen their representatives on TV or heard them on the radio 7 times. Ed Davey (72 MPs) or other Lib Dems - zero times. Confused.

"optimism has drained as Starmer appears either committed to this hardest of Brexits or too worried about the next election to risk losing the votes of red wall Brexiters. But really he has nothing to lose."

When will Govt learn you can’t out-Reform Reform - you end up simply legitimising their toxic narrative. To see off populists, Labour needs to invest in public services & local communities, making a real difference to people’s lives - levy a wealth tax & use it to improve people’s lives *now*

This is officially one of the most idiotic things Labour could do. Playing to Reform emboldens Reform. You can't out anti-immigration them. Labour has both the majority and time to implement policies which actually benefit people, and put the case for immigration. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

This company likes to portray itself as akin to numerous small local brewers. It is, in fact, a giant corporation backed by a US private equity firm.
James Watt Brewdog's CEO is worth £262,000,000 he is refusing to raise the wage of his staff in London by the £1 an hour to keep them at the National Living Wage. Brewdog is apparently a 'nice' company, but wage freezes don't seem very nice. Do they?

Excellent news. 👇
NEW: Over 60 German & Austrian universities have announced today they are quitting X/Twitter. The backlash against Musk is growing after he endorsed Germany’s Far Right. Germany’s Feberal Court of Justice has also quit the platform, as well as top German football clubs & labour unions.

This is an astonishingly ill-informed and amoral assessment for the political editor of the BBC to have reached, about someone spreading extremist conspiracy theories and using them to whip up hatred against elected politicians. I'd say I'm surprised, but sadly I'm not.
Staggeringly generous summary by Chris Mason just now: "Elon Musk no doubt has transformed the volume of this conversation, ensuring that the government was confronted with a reality it couldn't sidestep".

One reason why I joined the Lib Dem was because I wanted votes to matter regardless of where you happen to live Today I was so pleased to support Sarah Olney's bill, and to be part of a Parliament that's voted to support a fair voting system Why not join us libdems.org.uk/join
MPs have backed Sarah Olney’s bill on proportional representation. This is a historic moment in the campaign for a fairer voting system. Today, as we have done for a century, Liberal Democrats are leading the fight for fair votes and making sure that no one can be ignored in our democracy.

Oh come on Labour - so depressing to hear Pat McFadden say UK has no plans for a youth mobility scheme with the EU. We have schemes with NZ, Australia, Canada, Japan, Iceland, Uruguay & more - only reason not to have one with EU is fear of right wing press. Such cowardice @bbclaurak.bsky.social

This is well worth a read, an indication of how seriously individual MPs are taking the vote today
Sarah Sackman, MP for Finchley & Golders Green & Solicitor General, just published her letter to consituents on the assisted dying bill. It's thoughtful, compassionate and shows how carefully MPs of all parties are approaching this challenging issue.
